The prestigious TTG Travel Awards are known to be the toughest to win in the UK & Ireland among travel suppliers, agents and the tourism industry as a whole. This is why, the whole team at Travel Club Elite are extremely happy and proud of our Sales Manager Zoe Franklin, who has been shortlisted for the distinguished Manager of the Year award. The Year of Sustainable Travel
This year’s awards will be part of TTG’s new campaign on promoting sustainable travel and will introduce a new category for 2019 – the Responsible Travel Initiative of the Year award, sponsored by A-ROSA River Cruises and Shearings. The award will be given to businesses which have best implemented innovative sustainable initiatives during the past 12 months.
The TTG Travel Awards ceremony will be held at the Lyceum Theatre in London (home to The Lion King) on 16th September 2019. The after-party will be at the stunning Savoy London.
Who is Zoe?
Since she was 12, when she accompanied her parents to book a family holiday, she knew she wanted to become a travel agent. Her passion for wanderlust developed into a prosperous career in the travel industry. Zoe has been in the tourism sector for 33 years & has extensive, personal, worldwide travel experience. She is now Sales Manager for Travel Club Elite. Upon receiving the exciting news about her nomination for Manager of the Year she said:
“I feel extremely proud and honoured to be a finalist in this esteemed category – it is a lovely feeling to have the recognition of my commitment and dedication.”
Zoe “gets a buzz at airports” and loves to experience new places and holiday types – from cruising in the Caribbean, to escorted tours (she recently was lucky enough to go to Japan with Wendy Wu Tours), fun beach activities and exciting city breaks. She loves to travel with her family and friends, travel colleagues as well as on her own. Recent trips have included Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Maldives, Galapagos, Ecuador & the Seychelles! We asked Zoe what qualities should a successful Sales Manager possess and this is her answer:
“A good sales manager should always lead by example, in terms of selling well themselves and having excellent customer service skills – but equally helping their team to develop their own techniques to improve individual and group sales, they should embrace change as sales is an ever changing role that we cannot predict!”
