Day 1-2: Fly to Windhoek
Commence your journey with an overnight flight to Windhoek. After arriving and transferring directly to the hotel, familiarise yourself with your surroundings as you enjoy some free time to explore.

Day 3: Windhoek City Tour
During the morning of your first full day, embark on a drive-by orientation tour of the city’s highlights, including Alte Feste, an old fortress, the 1896 Christ Church and the modern Supreme Court. The journey will then continue to the Sossusvlei Region, with dinner being enjoyed in the heart of desert as the sun sets.

Day 4: Sossusvlei Region
Arrive in Sossusvlei during the early morning to discover the stark, salt-clay pan at its heart, nestled among orange dunes and stand before the towering Dune 45. Ater lunch, enjoy a scenic walk through the Sesriem Canyon.

Day 5: Travel to Swakopmund
Continue north towards Swakopmund – a city founded in 1892, and take part in another guided tour around the region, gaining insights into the city’s rich cultural history during your visit.

Day 6: Cruise Walvis Bay
Board your ship for a cruise around the stunning Walvis Bay, enjoying servings of fresh oysters, sparkling wine and other sweet and savoury snacks. Back on land, head to Sandwich Harbour, seeing flamingos on the way. Stop at a peak in the dunes to look out over Sandwich Harbour Lagoon.

Day 7: Travel to Damaraland
Leave Swakopmund behind as you travel to Damaraland – the foot of the Brandberg Mountain. Visit the Tsisab Gorge to see the San (‘Bushmen’) rock paintings, including the famous White Lady, believed to be over 2,000 years old. After this, make your way to the lodge accommodation.

Day 8: Himba Village Visit
Etosha National Park, a haven for wildlife and one of the most important game reserves in Southern Africa. En route, there will be a scheduled stop at a Himba Village, to experience the rich culture and everyday life of the local communities. Enjoy lunch at your lodge following this, before spending an afternoon at your own leisure.

Day 9: Etosha Safari
Spend the entire day exploring the Etoshi Safari Reserve – a hub for more than 144 different animal species. While here, visit the Etosha Pan where animals gather to drink from the springs and waterholes.

Day 10: Return to Windhoek
During the penultimate day of your adventure, gain fascinating insights into the conservation of Namibia’s impressive array of wildlife as you visit the AfriCat Foundation. Afterwards, travel to Windhoek for visit to a Okahandja wood carving market, before recapping your unforgettable experiences while indulging in a delicious farewell meal.

Day 11-12: Return to UK
Depart Windhoek as you board your overnight flight back to the UK.

Tsisab Gorge San Rock Paintings
Journey to the foot of Brandberg Mountain, sacred to the indigenous San people for millennia; visit the Tsisab Gorge to see the San (‘Bushmen’) rock paintings, including the famous White Lady, believed to be over 2,000 years old.
