Day 1: Arrive in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport, where you’ll transfer to your hotel. Check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Please note, flights to Kigali are not included in the short stay package.

Day 2: To Volcanoes National Park & Dian Fossey campus
After breakfast, leave Kigali, stopping enroute to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the events of 1994. Continue to Musanze, taking in the beauty of the landscape along the way. In the afternoon, visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. Here you’ll explore interactive exhibits and watch scientists at work. Check in at your lodge and enjoy dinner.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking
Early this morning, head to the National Park headquarters for a safety briefing. Join expert trackers as you hike into the misty rainforest in search of a family of endangered mountain gorillas. Once you locate them, spend an hour observing their social interactions. Hike back to the headquarters and return to your lodge for lunch and an afternoon at leisure.

Day 4: Return to Kigali
Return to Kigali today, with the rest of the day free in the city upon arrival.
