Day 1: Arrive in Cape Town

Day 2: Cape Town
Begin your first day with a Bo-Kaap Cooking Tour. Experience Cape Malay culture with a hands-on lesson, mastering traditional dishes, perfecting masala for curry, and tasting your creations. In the afternoon, take a cable car up to the summit of Table Mountain to take in the views. The rest of the day is at leisure, though you might choose to enjoy a fine dining experience, a ‘Enhance your journey’ experience*.

Day 3: Cape Peninsula
Begin your day with a Cape Peninsula tour. Travel along this magnificent stretch of coastline, pausing at must-see destinations including Hout Bay, Chapman’s Peak, Cape Point, Boulders Beach for the resident penguin colony, and Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. During your tour of the peninsula, stop to admire the ocean views over a delicious lunch. Later, return to Cape Town and spend the remainder of the evening at leisure. You might like to explore the lively V&A Waterfront, a harbourfront neighbourhood featuring hundreds of restaurants, shopping and nightlife.

Day 4: Cape Town
Spend a free day in Cape Town exploring at your own pace or choosing from optional experiences. Indulge your senses on a half-day chocolate tour*, sampling handmade treats and learning about chocolate-making, visit a local community project* to learn about social and environmental initiatives, or explore the historic Robben Island prison*, where Nelson Mandela and other freedom fighters were held (additional expenses apply).

Day 5: Cape Town
Journey to the Cape Winelands for a day of exceptional food and wine, exploring the region aboard the Franschhoek Wine Tram with tastings and pairings at boutique and renowned wineries. Enjoy a special Insider Experience at Nederburg Wines’ ‘Dinner of Discovery,’ where blindfolded moments heighten your senses as you savour a three-course, canapé-style meal with perfectly paired wines, before returning to Cape Town for an evening at leisure.

Day 6: Cape Town, Hermanus, Arniston
This morning, leave Cape Town and travel along the scenic Clarence Drive, with mountains on one side and False Bay on the other. During whale season (June–November), stop in Hermanus for a whale-watching excursion; otherwise, explore the town at leisure. Visit Elim Village, known for its white-washed cottages and fig trees, then arrive in Arniston to stroll the charming village and enjoy dinner with the locals.

Day 7: Arniston, Knysna
Enjoy a relaxed start to the day before setting off along the Garden Route this afternoon. Stop at Cape Agulhas where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet. From here, continue to Knysna, a town renowned for its natural beauty where you’ll check into your hotel.

Day 8: Knysna, Featherbed Nature Reserve
Travel across the lagoon to the Western Head, where you’ll find the natural wonderland of Featherbed Nature Reserve. Here you’ll join a specialist guide and learn about the local fauna and flora. Afterwards, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9: Kariega Game Reserve
Continue along the coast to Kariega Game Reserve. On arrival, check into your stunning safari lodge, which features an infinity pool that overlooks the plains. All meals and selected beverages are included in your stay, with dinner being served in your lodge today.

Day 10: Kariega Game Reserve
Head out into the reserve today to observe the wildlife, with a mix of game drives, river cruises and bush walks. Return to the lodge for dinner tonight.

Travel to Port Elizabeth where you’ll board a flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, settle into your hotel before a Farewell Dinner.
