Starting with a visit to the magnificent Chobe National Park and Victoria Falls, this journey takes you along the southern coast of South Africa to discover lively cities and stunning wilderness. Along the way you’ll ride on a luxurious steam train, try a 14-course feast of African dishes and explore the Cape winelands.
Days 1-2: Arrive in Victoria Falls
Take an overnight flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. On arrival you’ll meet your guide and transfer to the lodge in Botswana. Once you’re checked in, the rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3: Explore Chobe National Park
Today, embark on two game drives, during which you may be able to spot a herd of elephants or some of the over 440 species of birds that call the area home.

Day 4: Ride the Livingstone Express
Enjoy another game drive this morning before returning to Zambia. In the evening, board the Royal Livingstone Express, a luxurious steam train. Enjoy fine dining as you travel to Victoria Falls Bridge to get your first glimpse of Victoria Falls as the sun sets.

Day 5: Discover Victoria Falls
Awake early to take a sunrise cruse on the Zambezi River before heading to the Falls themselves. You’ll have the afternoon to explore.

Day 6: Travel to Cape Town
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Cape Town. On arrival transfer to your hotel. In the evening, head to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for dinner.

Day 7: Explore Cape Town
After a morning exploring the waterfront, visit Greenmarket Square and the Castle of Good Hope. See the colourful Bo-Kaap neighbourhood before taking the cable car up Table Mountain. This evening, visit the famous GOLD restaurant for a dinner featuring food from across Africa.

Day 8: Board the Azamara Quest
After breakfast, transfer to the port to board the Azamara Quest, your home for the next 12 nights.

Days 9-10: At Sea
Relax onboard the ship as its sails eastward along South Africa’s coastline.

Day 11: Cruise – Explore Durban
The ship docks in Durban, a city with plenty of history to explore.

Days 12-13: Cruise – Explore Richards Bay
Arrive at Richards Bay where you can find some of South Africa’s most beautiful scenery.

Days 14-15: At Sea
Spend two days sailing westward, giving you the chance to enjoy the onboard facilities.

Day 16: Cruise – Explore Port Elizabeth
Dock in Port Elizabeth, also known as Gqeberha. Here you’ll find beautiful beaches and wilderness nearby which is home to the world’s densest population of elephants.

Day 17: Cruise – Port Elizabeth
Spend another day docked in Port Elizabeth

Day 18: Cruise – Explore Mossel Bay
Arrive in the town of Mossel Bay, located on the famous Garden Route.

Day 19: At Sea
Enjoy a final day about the ship as it returns to Cape Town.

Day 20: Cape Town
Disembark the ship and meet your guide. Travel to Simon’s Town and visit the penguins of Boulders Beach. Enjoy lunch before transferring to the hotel.

Day 21: Discover the Winelands
Embark on a tour of the famous Cape Winelands. Visit Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl, where you’ll have wine tastings and enjoy a tram ride through the vineyards and a delicious lunch.

Day 22: Fly Cape Town to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.

Journey through South Africa’s scenic vineyards to discover the wine varieties grown here, in the company of knowledgeable guides.
Zambezi River Cruise
As the sun rises, cruise along the might Zambezi River and keep an eye out for the wildlife

Visit the GOLD Restaurant in Cape Ton where you’ll dine on an epic 14-course dinner, accompanied by traditional puppets and other entertainment.
