Begin your journey with vibrant experiences in Rio de Janeiro, Iguazu Falls, and Buenos Aires, before heading south to the ‘End of the World.’ There, you’ll board a boat for your thrilling expedition into Antarctica. On your return, explore the captivating Falkland Islands, where you’ll encounter unique wildlife and immerse yourself in the culture of this remote outpost.
Days 1-2: Fly to Rio de Janeiro
Fly overnight to the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is yours to relax, refresh, or begin soaking up the local culture.

Day 3: Discover Rio
Spend the day visiting Rio’s highlights. Take a cable car ride up Sugarloaf Mountain to enjoy the views over the city. In the afternoon, participate in a cooking class to discover traditional Brazilian flavours and learn to prepare a delicious local dish.

Day 4: Christ the Redeemer
Explore more of Rio with a visit to Christ the Redeemer. Take a scenic train ride up Corcovado Mountain, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views before visiting the Selaron Steps to admire the mosaics. This afternoon, immerse yourself in the Carnival spirit with a visit to Cidade do Samba.

Day 5: Travel to Iguazu
Bid farewell to Rio and fly to Foz do Iguaçu. Head straight to Iguazu National Park, located on the border between Brazil and Argentina, to witness the awe-inspiring Iguazu Falls. Take a glass elevator to a viewing platform for an up-close view of Garganta do Diabo (Devil’s Throat). Then, cross into Argentina for more exploration.

Day 6: More Iguazu
Today, explore the Argentine side of the falls. Walk along trails to experience smaller falls and take in the vastness of Iguazu Falls as a whole. In the evening, enjoy The Argentine Experience, where you’ll learn about Argentina’s cuisine and try your hand at making empanadas while dining on traditional food and drink.

Day 7: Fly to Buenos Aires
Fly to Buenos Aires, Argentina’s enchanting capital. Begin your exploration at Plaza de Mayo and admire some of the city’s most iconic buildings. Discover neighbourhoods like Palermo, Retiro, Recoleta (including a visit to its famous cemetery), San Telmo, and La Boca.

Day 8: Rural Argentina
Spend the day on the Pampas, Argentina’s fertile grasslands, at a traditional estancia (ranch). Learn about the life of a gaucho and enjoy a typical Argentine asado (barbecue) lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a fun folklore show.

Day 9: Board MS Roald Amundsen
Fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. Transfer to the port to board your hybrid-powered expedition ship, the MS Roald Amundsen. Spend the rest of the day settling into your cabin, attending the expedition briefing, and exploring the ship’s facilities.

Days 10-11: Cruise – Drake Passage
Set sail across the Drake Passage towards Antarctica. During these two days at sea, look for seabirds like albatrosses and petrels, and possibly even whales. The Expedition Team will provide lectures and briefings to prepare you for the Antarctic adventure. You can also visit the Science Centre, unwind in the spa, or relax in the Explorer Lounge & Bar.

Days 12-16: Cruise – Antarctica
Explore the awe-inspiring Antarctic wilderness. With five days dedicated to exploration, the itinerary will be flexible to adapt to weather conditions. Participate in landings and ice cruises led by the Expedition Team, where you’ll encounter penguins, whales, seals, and wandering albatrosses. Throughout the journey, enrich your experience with lectures on wildlife, history, and conservation.

Days 17-18: Cruise – Drake Passage
Head north, sailing back through the Drake Passage

Days 19-21: Discover the Falkland Islands
Arrive at the Falkland Islands, a remote group of islands known for their wildlife and picturesque landscapes. During your time here, you’ll have the opportunity to birdwatch, hike, and visit wildlife colonies. Enjoy a community walk through Stanley, the capital, to learn about the islands’ fascinating history.

Day 22: Last Day at Sea
Depart the Falkland Islands and head back to Ushuaia. Spend your final day at sea relaxing, visiting the Science Centre, or enjoying the ship’s amenities. In the evening, gather with fellow travellers in the Explorer Lounge & Bar for a final toast.

Day 23: Arrive in Ushuaia
Disembark in Ushuaia and fly back to Buenos Aires. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at a lively Tango Show, where music, dancing, and delicious food celebrate the end of your incredible adventure.
