Day 1 | Fly from the UK to Delhi
Depart the UK for India. On arrival in Delhi, transfer to an airport hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2 | Paro & Thimphu (dinner)
Fly to Paro, enjoying spectacular Himalayan views en route, then transfer to Thimphu. Afternoon at leisure. Stay 3 nights at Six Senses Thimphu.
Day 3 | Thimphu (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Explore Bhutan’s capital, visiting Tashichho Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, the arts and crafts school, traditional medicine institute, paper factory and textile museum.
Day 4 | Thimphu (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Enjoy a scenic walk along the Sangaygang–Wangditse trail through pine and rhododendron forests to Wangditse Monastery.
Day 5 | Punakha (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Travel to Punakha via the spectacular Dochula Pass, visiting Chimmi Lhakhang and the historic Punakha Dzong. Stay 2 nights at Six Senses Punakha.
Day 6 | Punakha (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Explore Punakha’s countryside with a picnic walk to Khamsum Chorten, or visit the Nalanda Buddhist Institute and Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang Nunnery.
Day 7 | Paro (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Return to Paro, enjoying a scenic village walk and a visit to Drugyel Dzong. Stay 3 nights at Six Senses Paro.
Day 8 | Paro (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), with breathtaking views of one of Bhutan’s most celebrated landmarks.
