Explore the history and culture of two ancient countries on this cruise and tour. Days 1-2: Arrive in Beijing
Fly overnight to Beijing. On arrival, meet your guide before travelling to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Visit the sprawling Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square this morning, before visiting the Temple of Heaven. In the evening, dine on Peking Duck, a local delicacy

Day 4: The Great Wall
Head to the magnificent Great Wall of China today, to learn about its history before walking along a small section. Make a stop at a jade factory before travelling along the Sacred Way to the Ming tombs. Enjoy a thrilling acrobatics show this evening.

Day 5: Travel Pingyao
Transfer to the train station to board a bullet train to the city of Pingyao. Home to the country’s best preserved ancient city walls, there’s plenty to see as you walk through the streets that showcase Imperial Chinese architecture. While exploring, you’ll visit the Yamen and the Rishengchang Financial House Museum

Day 6: Travel to Xian
Enjoy a morning at leisure before travelling to Xian by bullet train. In the morning, there may be the opportunity to join an optional noodle making demonstration.

Day 7: Explore Xian
This morning, discover the spectacular Terracotta Warriors, created to protect China’s first emperor in the afterlife. Later on in the day, you’ll get the chance to walk along Xian’s beautiful city walls. In the evening, you’ll learn how to make dumplings before sampling them and watching a Tang Dynasty show.

Day 8: Travel to Chengdu
Spend the morning exploring the Muslim Quarter before heading to the station to take a bullet train to Chengdu. On arrival, sit down for a delicious Sichuan hot pot meal before watching a fascinating face changing show.

Day 9: Explore Chengdu
Visit the lovable giant pandas at Chengdu’s Panda Research Base. Learn more about the pandas before having the rest of the day at leisure. There may be the opportunity to volunteer at the Panda Base.

Day 10: Travel to Shanghai
Fly from Chengdu to Shanghai. Transfer to the hotel before spending the rest of the day exploring. Walk along the famous Bund before taking a cruise on the Huangpu River.

After breakfast, meet a guide before travelling to Baoshan, the city’s cruise terminal. Here you’ll board the Royal Caribbean’s Spectrum of the Sea. The rest of the day is at leisure to explore the ship.

Relax onboard as the ship sails across the East China Sea towards Japan
