Throughout your cruise, when your ship comes into port, there will be a range of excursions available to help you explore each destination. These excursions are at your own expense and are bookable on your cruise reservation

Days 1-2: Arrive in Beijing
Take an overnight flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Explore Beijing
Today, take a walk-through Tiananmen Square and into the Forbidden City. Then, visit the Temple of Heaven. In the evening, enjoy a Peking duck dinner.

Day 4: The Great Wall
Head out of the city to the Great Wall. Learn about its history before taking a walk along a short section to admire the views. Next, stop at a jade factory before visiting the Sacred Way and the Ming Tombs. This evening, watch an exciting acrobatic show.

Day 5: Travel to Pingyao
Transfer to the train station and board a bullet train to Pingyao. Home to China’s best preserved city walks, enjoy a walk to see the Qing Dynasty Yamen building and the Rishengchang Financial House Museum.

Day 6: Travel to Xian
Enjoy a morning at leisure before taking a bullet train to Xian

Day 7: Explore Xian
This morning, see the famous Terracotta Warriors, dating back to the time of the first emperor. While here, you’ll get to see artisans making replicas with the same techniques. Later, stroll atop Xian’s historic city walls. This evening, learn how to make dumplings before enjoying a banquet and a Tang Dynasty show

Day 8: Travel to Chengdu
After breakfast, explore the Muslim Quarter before transfer to the train station to take the train to Chengdu. In evening, try a delicious Sichuan hot pot and watch a fascinating face changing show.

Day 9: Explore Chengdu
In the morning, visit the Dujiangyan Panda Research Base to learn about the resident Giant Pandas. Then, return to Chengdu where you’ll stroll around People’s Park and enjoy a cup of tea in a traditional tea house.

Day 10: Train to Guilin
Take a bullet train to the city of Guilin, set on the banks of the Li River. On arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 11: Li River Cruise
Take a gentle cruise on the Li River to the town of Yangshuo, enjoying views of jagged karst peaks and lush paddy fields. In Yangshuo, take some time to explore the local market. In the evening, watch the Impression of Lui Sanjie show

Day 12: Around Yangshuo
Spend the morning taking in the countryside around Yangshuo before returning to Guilin, travelling back via the Reed Flute Caves.

Day 13: Train to Hong Kong
Board the bullet train to Hong Kong this morning. On arrival, spend the rest of the day exploring the city at leisure.

Day 14: Explore Hong Kong
Enjoy a whole day of exploring Hong Kong. Ride up Victoria Peak on a tram for brilliant views of the city skyline before returning to the city centre. Take the Central Escalator to Tai Kwan before continuing to Hollywood Road and Man Mo Temple. Enjoy a demonstration of how to prepare dim sum before enjoying some for lunch. Finish the day with a visit to the West Kowloon Cultural District and the Avenue of Stars.

Day 15: Board the Norwegian Jade
After breakfast, transfer to the city’s cruise terminal to board the Norwegian Jade. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into your cabin and begin exploring the ship.

The first port of call is Kaohsiung, the second largest city in Taiwan. There’s plenty to explore here, including museums, water parks and cafes.

Head to a sushi making masterclass and enjoy your creation for lunch. In the afternoon, wander through the Imperial Palace Gardens and visit the Meiji Jingu Shrine.
