Days 1-2: Fly to Chongqing
Fly overnight to the city of Chongqing. Depending on your time of arrival, you may be able to start exploring the city.

Day 3: Discover Chongqing’s Pandas & City
This morning, visit the city’s Panda conservation centre to meet its resident Giant Pandas. Then, head to the Liziba Intersection to watch the metro trains pass through a high-rise building. In the afternoon, choose between a relaxing dip in a hot spring resort or some free time to explore Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street.

Day 4: Dazu Rock Carvings
Travel to Dazu, where you’ll see the UNESCO listed Rock Carvings, thousands of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucianist idols and symbols carved over 70 sites. Return to Chongqing and board your Yangtze River cruise.

Days 5-6: Christmas Eve & Day on the Yangtze
Celebrate Christmas with a two-day Yangtze River cruise, gliding past dramatic gorges and riverside villages. Enjoy festive meals, morning coffee and tea, an upper Bridge Deck cabin, nightly turndown service, and Executive Lounge access with complimentary drinks and evening “Happy Hour.” House wine, beer, and soft drinks are included with lunch and dinner.

Day 7: Travel to Zhangjiajie National Park
Disembark your cruise in Yichang and travel by road to Zhangjiajie

Day 8: Discover Zhangjiajie
Start your exploration with a ride up the Bailong Glass Elevator which takes you 326 metres up the side of the mountain. Once at the top, you’ll enjoy amazing views of the ‘First Bridge under the Sun’ and Hallelujah Mountain. Continue your exploration at Emperor Mountain and Helong Park before heading back down via a cable car.

Day 9: Tianmen Mountain & Glass Bridge
Travel up to the height of Tianmen Mountain on the world’s longest cable car. See the Tianmen Cave, also known as ‘Heaven’s Door’ which stands at the top of 999 steep step before walking along a glass skywalk. Later, take a walk across Zhangjiajie’s Glass Bridge, which spans 430 metres over the Grand Canyon

Day 10: Bullet Train to Hong Kong
Drive to Changsha and board a 3-hour bullet train to Hong Kong

Day 11: Explore Lantau Island
Spend the day exploring Lantau Island. Begin with visits to the renowned Wong Tai Sin Temple and Tin Hau Temple. Next, take a cable car ride to the Ngong Ping Plateau, home to the Grand Buddha and Po Lin Monastery. From here, explore the Giant Buddha Exhibition hall and monastery before sitting down for a vegetarian lunch. End the day with a scenic cable car ride back to the city.

Day 12: New Year’s Eve Fireworks
Enjoy a relaxed morning before exploring the city. Take a ride on the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak to take in the views of the skyline. Continue to Repulse Bay before visiting Aberdeen Fishing Village where you can see traditional sampans and houseboats. Later, take an evening harbour cruise to watch the city’s spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

Day 13: New Year’s Day in Hong Kong
Enjoy a morning at leisure before taking a walking tour of Kowloon’s vibrant Tsim Sha Tsu area, seeing its Temple Street Market and lively shops. Finish the day with a farewell dinner.

Head to the airport for your flight home from Hong Kong, arriving the same or following day.
