Days 1-2: Fly to Beijing
Fly overnight to Beijing. Depending on your time of arrival, you may have some time to start exploring.

Day 3: The Great Wall
This morning, visit China’s most iconic landmark, the Great Wall. Take a walk along a section of it to admire the structure itself and its stunning surroundings. You’ll then visit a jade factory before spending the afternoon at the Summer Palace where you can stroll around the beautiful gardens

Day 4: Imperial Beijing
After breakfast, head to Tiananmen Square before passing through the Gate of Supreme Harmony into the Forbidden City. Spend some time exploring the complex before visiting the hutongs, a traditional neighbourhood. This evening, enjoy a traditional Peking Duck dinner

Day 5: Ancient Xian
Head to the train station to take a bullet train to Xian. On arrival, take a walking tour of the Muslim Quarter where you can learn about the city’s culture and significance as the historical start of the Silk Road. In the evening, enjoy a dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty dancing show.

Day 6: Terracotta Warriors
Spend the morning admiring the awe-inspiring Terracotta Warrior, visiting a workshop to see them being recreated. Later, take a walk on the medieval city walls that encircle the old town. End the day with a visit to a local brewery for a beer tasting.

Day 7: Fly to Zhangjiajie
Take a flight to Zhangjiajie today.

Day 8: Discover Zhangjiajie
Start the day with a ride in the Bailong glass elevator, embedded into the mountain. On arrival at the top, you’ll get amazing views of the ‘First Bridge under the Sun’ and Hallelujah Mountain. You’ll then continue to Emperor Mountain and Helong Park before taking a cable car down. Finish the day at Jinbian Stream

Day 9: Tianmen Mountain
Take a journey on the world’s longest cable car, a 7-kilometre journey, to the heights of Tianmen Mountain. Here you’ll see Tianmen Cave, which stands at the top of 999 steps before walking along a glass skywalk known as the ‘Walk of Faith’.

Day 10: Board your cruise
Drive to Yichang where you’ll board your river cruise vessel for your 4-night cruise along the Yangtze River

Days 11-13: Yangtze River Cruise
Visit the Three Gorges Dam in the morning, visiting the viewing area above the locals to see the immense scale and exploring the small museum before returning to the ship. Over the next three days, experience the breathtaking landscapes along the river, take a side trip to the Shennong Stream and enjoy various shore excursions

Day 14: Pandas & Hot Springs
Disembark in Chongqing and visit the beloved Giant Pandas. Later, relax in a hot spring resort or enjoy some free time to explore Jiefangbei Pedestrian Street.

Day 15: Dazu Rock Carvings & Drone Show
Head to Dazu, home to the UNESCO listed Dazu Rock Carvings. Admire the array of Buddhist, Taoist and Confucianist idols and faces carved into the rocks. Returning to Chongqing, this evening you’ll experience the amazing Glamorous Drone Show, where over 5,000 drones light up the city.

Day 16: Discover Chongqing
Begin the day with a visit to the old quarter of Ciqikou to explore its narrow alleyways lined with traditional shops and teahouses. Continue to Liziba Intersection, where you can watch metro trains pass straight through a residential building. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner before taking a cruise along the Yangtze and Jialing rivers to admire the city at night including the beautifully lit Hongya Cave

Day 17: Fly to UK
Fly to the UK, arriving home the same or following day.
