Days 1-2: Fly overnight to Taipei
Fly overnight to Taipei. On arrival, enjoy the rest of the day as you wish before meeting your National Escort and group to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3: Explore Taipei
Begin your day at the National Palace Museum where you can discover a fine collection of Chinese imperial art. Then continue to the Longshan Temple and the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Afterward, head up the 89th floor of Taipei 101 to enjoy panoramic views of the skyline. End the day with an evening visit to the night food market to try some famous street food.

Day 4: Ride the Pingxi Line
Leave Taipei behind for the day as you board the Pingxi Line. Travel through the mountains to visit charming spots like Pingxi and the Shifen Waterfall. Try releasing a traditional sky lantern before continuing to Jiufen. Return to Taipei in the evening.

Day 5: Travel to Sun Moon Lake
Head south today to the picturesque Sun Moon Lake. Stop along the way to visit a tea plantation for a tasting before continuing to Wenwu Temple which overlooks the lake. Later on, board a leisurely cruise over the lake to take the stunning views.

Day 6: Travel to Alishan
This morning, travel to Bantaoyao Craft Park, where you’ll try your hand at mosaic making, designing your own tile. Later, venture to Alishan to visit Yuyupas Cultural Park. Spend some time learning about the traditions of the indigenous Tsou tribe and try the coffee produced in the surrounding mountains.

Day 7: Board the forest train
Hop on the Forest Train early in the morning to take the ride up to Zhushan Sunrise Platform for the chance to watch the sunrise over the mountains (weather permitting). Afterwards, spend some time exploring the nearby forest trails, with stops at scenic spots.

Day 8: Return to Taipei
Start the day in the village of Fenqihu, where you can explore the narrow lanes and try a signature bento box lunch. Later on, travel to Chiayi to board the high speed train back to Taipei. On arrival, head to your hotel and enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 9: Fly to the UK
Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, arriving the same or next day.
