Days 1-2: Fly to Kolkata
Take an overnight flight to Kolkata in the east of India. On arrival, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to rest or to stat exploring.

Day 3: Explore Kolkata
Today, take a tour of the city, seeing landmark sights such as the Birla Planetarium, Belur Math, Dakineshwar Kali Temple and the spectacular Victoria Memorial. Then, in the evening, take a walking tour to the famous Park Street.

Day 4: British Kolkata
Explore Kolkata’s colonial history during today’s tour, including a visit to Dalhousie Square. In the afternoon, visit Mother House, a convent that was home to Mother Teresa. Visit her tomb and a museum dedicated to her.

Day 5: Travel to Gangtok
Transfer to the airport and fly to Bagdogra. From here, drive to Gangtok.

Day 6: Explore Gangtok
Spend the day explore Gangtok, the state capital of Sikkim. Visit the Rumtek Monastery, the region’s most significant before heading to Enchey Monastery, known for its colourful prayer hall. Then, visit the Tashi Viewpoint for spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga before taking a cable ropeway to enjoy panoramic views of the city,

Day 7: Travel to Darjeeling
Travel through the Himalayan foothills, passing through vast tea plantations to arrive in Darjeeling. On route, you’ll stop at the Ravangla Buddha Park to admire the 40m tall copper buddha statue.

Day 8: Kanchenjunga Sunrise
Awake before dawn to travel up Tiger Hill to see the sun rising over the world’s third highest mountain. The rest of the morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, ride on the toy train from Darjeeling to Ghoom. On arrival, visit Ghoom monastery before returning to Darjeeling. Back in Darjeeling, tour Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute and the Tibetan Refugee Centre. This evening, enjoy a stroll through the market.

Day 9: Fly to Guwahati
Transfer back to Bagdogra airport to fly to Guwahati. The rest of the day on arrival is at leisure.

Day 10: Board your cruise
Head to Silghat where you’ll board your cruise vessel. Cast off and begin cruising upstream, enjoying lunch and dinner onboard.

Day 11: Kaziranga Safari
In the morning, disembark from the ship to take a safari into Kaziranga National Park. The park is best known for its rhino population and as a designated tiger reserve. Enjoy lunch by the river before taking another jeep safari to explore the park’s western reaches.

Day 12: Tea Estate
Spend the morning on a picturesque Assam tea estate. You’ll get the chance to learn about the production process. Back on the boat later on, continuing cruising, passing through more of Kaziranga. Anchor near Biswanath village in the evening.

Day 13: Biswanath Village
Venture into the village to explore its cultural heritage. The ghat is home to temples dedicated to different gods including a Ahom-era Shiva temple. After discovering these, wandering along the river before returning to the ship. Spend the afternoon relaxing onboard as you cruise further upstream.

Day 14: Day of Cruising
Sit back and relax onboard as you enjoy a day of sailing. There will be one stop at a riverside village for a walking tour to stretch your legs.

Day 15: Majuli Island
Explore one of the world’s largest river islands today. Visit two of the tranquil monasteries, where you’ll enjoy a traditional dance performance. Cruise further along the river to Salmara Ghat, visit a nearby village to see local traditional artisans at work.

Day 16: Visit Sibsagar
Drive to Sibsagar, which was once the capital of the Ahom kings. Explore it’s fascinating culture with visits to old temples. Return to the ship and cruise back to Neamati Ghat.

Day 17: Return to Kolkata
Disembark your cruise ship and travel to Jorhat airport for a flight to Kolkata. The remainder of the day is at leisure.
