Days 1-2: Fly overnight to Jakarta
Head to the airport for your overnight flight to Indonesia’s capital Jakarta. On arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Discover Jakarta
Spend the day explore the city, beginning with a visit to Batavia, the colonial old town. See Batavia Square and Sunda Kelapa Harbour before heading to the Fatahillah Museum. In the evening, visit Sabang Street for an evening of sampling local dishes.

Day 4: Jakarta to Semarang by Train
This morning, take the train to the city of Semarang. Once there, explore the city with a guided tour, discovering its mix of Chinese and Dutch Colonial heritage.

Day 5: Semarang to Yogyakarta
Head to Yogyakarta, stopping enroute at Gedong Songo, a collection of 8th Century Hindu Temples. Continue to the Ambarawa Railway Museum.

Day 6: Explore Yogyakarta
Explore Yogyakarta in a traditional becak (rickshaw). See the Sultan’s Palace and the Taman Sari Water Castle before enjoying a hands-on batik experience to find out about patterns and traditions. Then, head to Prambanan Temple, one of Southeast Asia’s largest temple complex and marvel at the stone reliefs and towering spires.

Day 7: Candirejo Village & Borobudur
This morning, visit the traditional Javanese village of Candirejo where you’ll take a horse cart ride and learn more about farming practices and local traditions. Later in the day, visit Borobudur, the world’s largest Buddhist Temple.

Day 8: Yogyakarta to Bromo
Take a train to Mojokerto before travelling to Bromo where you’ll stay overnight.

Day 9: Mt Bromo Sunrise
Wake up early for a Jeep ride to the Bromo viewpoint. From here watch the sunrise over the volcano. Afterwards, explore the Sea of Sand, a mesmerising landscape of ash and crater. In the afternoon, continue to Malang.

Day 10: Malang
Spend the morning soaking up the city’s street life before visiting Jodipan, a village famous for its street art.

Day 11: Fly to Flores Island
Transfer to Surabaya Airport for a flight to Lubuan Bajo on the western tip of Flores Island. On arrival, visit Batu Cermin Cave.

Day 12: Komodo Dragons
Take a speedboat to the famous Komodo Island, home of the Komodo dragons.

Day 13: Komodo National Park
Explore the islands of Komodo National Park including Rinca, Kelor and Manjarite, making the most of wildlife sightings.
Day 14: Fly to Bali
Fly to Denpasar and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure to relax or explore before a farewell dinner.

Day 15: Fly to UK
Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, arrive the same or following day.

Becak Tour of Yogyakarta
Discover Yogyakarta on a traditional becak ride through the centre. During the ride to see the sites of Alun-Alun Kidul and the former water palace Taman Sari.
Candirejo Village Experience
Visit the traditional Javanese village of Candirejo where you’ll meet the locals, learn about their daily life and enjoy a peaceful horse cart ride.
Jakarta Food Tour
Spend an evening trying street food along the famous Sabang Street, including local delicacies such as Lontong Sayur, Ketoprak and Gado-Gado.
