Day 2: Tokyo

Arrive in the futuristic metropolis of Tokyo, where you’ll transfer to your hotel in Shinjuku.

Day 4: Mount Fuji – Matsumoto

Visit the iconic Mount Fuji and marvel in the remarkable views surrounding Japan’s tallest mountain. Following this, the journey continues on towards Matsumoto.

Day 5: Matsumoto – Takayama

After having arrived in Matsumoto, experience a visit to Matsumoto Castle in the morning, ahead of your sake (Japanese rice wine) tasting experience in the afternoon.

Day 7: Kanazawa

As you journey from Takayama to Kanazawa, enjoy a scheduled stop-off to visit the incredible Shirakawago Village – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will then reach the historic castle town of Kanazawa, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the town in greater depth while on a sightseeing tour.

Day 8: Kanazawa – Hiroshima

Before travelling to Hiroshima by enjoying a thrilling ride on a bullet train, you will have more time to explore what Kanazawa has to offer. More specifically, visit Kenroku-en Garden and BukeYashiki and soak up the serene atmosphere.

Day 9: Hiroshima

The city of Hiroshima, once a place of tragedy and utter devastation, is now a bustling and vibrant region. Today, you’ll be travelling to Miyajima Island by boat in the morning, before heading back to Hiroshima to take part in a Peace Memorial Park walking tour, as well as visiting the Atomic Bomb Museum.

Day 10: Nara – Kyoto

Today’s activities include yet another exciting bullet train journey to Osaka, with planned visits to Todaji Temple and Nara Park following this.

While in Kyoto, enjoy a guided tour of the city, taking in a range of highlights including Ryoanji Temple, Kinkakuji Temple and Nijo.

Day 12: Kyoto – Mishima

Experience a traditional tea ceremony in the morning, with a bullet train journey to come in the afternoon as you travel to Mishima where you’ll check into your next hotel.

Day 13: Hakone – Tokyo

After reaching Hakone you’ll embark on a cruise journey around the beautiful Lake Ashi. For your next activity, enjoy a cable car ride to Owakudani Valley and hot springs. Following this, prepare yourself for more unforgettable experiences as you head to your airport hotel for your flight to South Korea.

Day 14: Tokyo – Busan

Day 16: Gyeongju – Seoul

Participate in an exploratory excursion to the Gyeongju Historic Area before boarding the KTX bullet train as you head towards Seoul, the capital city.

Day 17: Seoul

Day 18: DMZ

Gain insights into the historical cultural division of North and South Korea as the journey continues to the DMZ (Demilitarised Zone). Spend the afternoon at your own leisure after travelling back to your hotel in Seoul.
