Day 1: UK – In flight
You will be collected from your home by Titan Travel’s VIP door-to-door service, ahead of the overnight flight to Tokyo.
Day 2: Tokyo
Once you have arrived in Japan’s capital, enjoy a free evening after you check-in to your hotel.

Day 3: Tokyo
Commence your Japanese adventure as you embark on a full-day sightseeing tour around the city’s highlights, including visits to the Imperial Palace Plaza, Sensō-ji Temple and Hamarikyu Gardens.

Day 4: Hakone
The journey continues to region of Hakone – with its landscape sculpted by previous volcanic eruptions. You’ll enjoy a scenic drive to the Owakudani Valley and its bubbling hot springs, before boarding the Hakone Ropeway for a cable car journey from Owakudani to Sounzan. Following this, take part in an authentic yosegi-zaiku marquetry experience, ahead of a guided walking tour along the Old Tōkaidō Road towards Lake Ashi.

Day 5: Tokyo
Enjoy a full day to explore Tokyo independently, perhaps heading up the Tokyo Skytree or exploring the museums, restaurants and gardens throughout the city

Day 6: Nagano
Embark on a thrilling bullet train journey in the morning as you travel from Tokyo to Nagano, with there being a scheduled visit to the ancient Zenkō-ji Temple on arrival. Afterwards, head to the Jigokudani Monkey Park for a guided visit, before enjoying a delicious Oyaki making experience.

Day 7: Nagano – Kyoto
Enjoy some free time in the morning before gaining insights into the history of rural Japan with visits to Magome and Tsumago, two post towns along the Nakasendo Trail.. Then, experience another exhilarating bullet train journey as you travel to Kyoto via Nagoya.

Day 8: Kyoto
Immerse yourself in the natural and man-made wonders of Japan’s ancient capital – Kyoto, as you experience a guided tour of the city. Start by visiting the breath-taking UNESCO-listed temple at Kiyomizu-dera, prior to enjoying a traditional tea ceremony. Then, visit the Gion district, famous for the geisha. Here you’ll have lunch before visiting the beautiful Kinkaku-ji temple.

Day 9: Kyoto
An entire of free time to explore Kyoto at your own leisure. You may wish to visit the Railway Museum or Nijo Castle.

Day 10: Kyoto – Osaka
Visit the striking Arashiyama Bamboo Grove this morning before making the journey to Osaka. There is then an optional excursion to Nara in the afternoon, ahead of a scheduled orientation walk around Dotonbori to conclude the day’s activities.

Day 11: Koyasan
Head to Koyasan, on the Mount Koyasan, centre of Shingon Buddhism. Visit Kongōbu-ji Temple before enjoying a lunch of shojin ryori. Then, visit the day at the breathtaking Okunoin Cemetery, the largest in Japan

Day 12: Takamatsu
In the morning, soak up the sheer elegance of UNESCO-listed Himeji Castle. Then, travel to the island of Shikoku to reach Takamatsu. Here, you’ll enjoy a unique Udon making experience before spending the remainder of the day exploring the wonders of Ritsurin Garden.

Day 13: Naoshima
Marvel at the vibrancy of Japan’s unique art island, Naoshima, as you explore the museums, outdoor art displays and the older preserved areas of the island, while on a guided excursion.

Day 14: Okayama – Hiroshima
Experience a visit to the idyllic Kōraku-en Garden during the morning, before enjoying a traditional Sake tasting experience in Saijo. Head to Hiroshima in the afternoon.

Day 15: Hiroshima
Catch a ferry in the morning and travel to Miyajima Island for a visit to the spectacular Itsukushima Shrine. Following this, enjoy an Okonomiyaki making experience in the afternoon before taking a walking tour of the Peace Memorial Park and Museum.

Day 16: Beppu – Aso
Climb onboard another bullet train for an express journey to Kyushu Island and Beppu. An area well-known for its abundance of hot springs, you’ll experience a ‘hell tour’ around the lakes and ponds, which are referred to as hells due to the mixture of red and blue which is created as a result of volcanic lava flows. In the evening, check-in to your hotel in Aso and indulge in a traditional kaiseki dinner.

Day 17: Aso – Kumamoto
Participate in a guided walking tour around Aso in the morning, which includes a visit to the Volcano Museum and the Kusasenri plateau. Then, head to Kumamoto where you’ll visit the Suizenji Garden and view the hilltop castle. Check into your hotel before an orientation walk, including the Kumamoto Food Village.

Day 18: Nagasaki
Reach Nagasaki by ferry in the morning and visit the island of Dejima to see its charming historical buildings. In the afternoon, visit the Nagasaki Museum of History and Culture before spending the rest of the day at you own leisure.

Day 19: Nagasaki
Spend time gaining further knowledge and insights into the events which took place in Nagasaki during WW2, as you visit the Nagasaki Peace Park & Memorial Museum. You’ll then explore Glover Garden and Ōura Church, with the afternoon being free.

Day 20: Dazaifu – Fukuoka
The last full day of the tour is jam-packed with different activities. To start the day, visit the bustling city of Dazaifu to soak up the key highlights, including visits to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and Kyushu National Museum. Following this, continue to Fukuoka for a guided walking tour in Nakasu, before stopping off at the Fukuoka Tower to observe the incredible views of the city. Conclude the final day with a farewell dinner at an izakaya, which also includes unlimited drinks.

Day 21: Fukuoka – UK
Travel back to the airport for your return UK flight. Titan’s travel service will then be ready to take you home after you arrive.
