See the highlights of Japan on this extensive cruise and tour. Begin your adventure on land as you explore Tokyo, Mount Fuji and Kyoto. Following this, you’ll board a cruise that takes you around the coast of Honshu, Japan’s largest island, with a visit to Busan in South Korea along the way. Finish with a visit to the ancient city of Nikko

Days 1–2: Depart for Tokyo
Fly overnight to Tokyo. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Discover Tokyo
Start the day with a visit to Sensoji, the city’s oldest temple before heading up the Sky Tree to enjoy panoramic views of the city. For lunch, take a sushi masterclass and dine on your creations. Then, head to the famous Shibuya Crossing before exploring Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Day 4: Snow Monkeys
Travel to Jigokudani Monkey Park, where you’ll walk to the hot springs where Japanese Macaques like to bathe. Visit Zenkoji before transferring to Nagano where you’ll stay in a ryokan.

Travel to the Mount Fuji Area. At Oishi Park, stop to take in the views before taking a mini cruise on Lake Ashi. Head up to the summit of Mount Komagatake by cable car before boarding a train to Kyoto

Days 6–7: Kyoto Highlights
Once the imperial capital for over a millennium, Kyoto brims with historic treasures. Over two days, explore landmarks such as Kinkakuji (Golden Pavilion), Ryoanji’s Zen rock garden, and Fushimi Inari Shrine with its endless red torii gates. Stroll through the Gion district, famous for its geisha heritage. Savour a kaiseki dinner and a traditional sukiyaki lunch during your stay.
