Days 1-2: Arrive in Seoul
Take an overnight flight to South Korea’s capital Seoul. On arrival, transfer to the hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3: Explore Seoul
Start a full day of exploration at Gwanghwamun Square, from where you’ll pass through the gate of the Gyeongbok Palace to watch the Changing of the Guards Ceremony. After, change into traditional clothes to explore the resorted house of Bukchon Hanok Village. Stop for lunch in a local restaurant before taking part in a kimchi making demonstration. Finish the day with a guided stroll along he Cheonggyecheon Stream.

Day 4: Board the Celebrity Millenium
Following breakfast, transfer to the cruise terminal to board your cruise ship. The rest of the day is free for you to settle into your cabin and begin exploring the ship.

Day 5: Cruise – At Sea
As the ship cruises along the coastline, enjoy the ship’s facilities and amenities

Day 6: Cruise – Explore Jeju Island*
The ship calls to port at Jeju Island, South Korea’s favourite holiday spot. Spend some time relaxing on the white sand beaches or exploring unique traditions.

Day 7: Cruise – Explore Kumamoto*
Today the ship arrives at Kumamoto on the Japanese island of Kyushu. Here you could explore the samurai fortress or the Suizenji Garden.

Day 8: Cruise – Explore Kagoshima*
The sunny port of Kagoshima is your stop today, with historic castles and gardens to explore or volcanic hot springs to relax in.

Arrive in Hiroshima today, where you may consider visiting the Peace Park.

Day 10: Cruise – At Sea

Day 11: Cruise – Explore Kyoto*
The ship docks in Osaka today. From here, you can travel to the city of Kyoto and spend the day exploring ancient architecture or sampling culinary delights.

Day 12: Cruise – Kyoto*
The ship remains docked in Osaka, giving you more time to explore Kyoto or to simple relax onboard.

Day 13: Cruise – At Sea
Relax onboard the ship or take part in some of the onboard activities as the ship sails along the southern coast of Honshu

Day 14: Cruise – Explore Shimizu
Stop at Shimizu where you can see medieval castle ruins and traditional gardens. It’s also the ideal place for viewing Mount Fuji or exploring the sights around its base.

Day 15: Cruise – Tokyo*
Arrive at Yokohama port, the gateway to Tokyo. From here you can start your exploration of the city or enjoy your last day on the cruise ship.

Day 16: Disembark the Celebrity Millenium
Say farewell to the Celebrity Millenium and meet your guide, before transferring to your hotel in Tokyo

Day 17: Explore Tokyo
Spend a full day exploring Tokyo, starting at the city’s oldest temple, Sensoji. Then, take a stroll down Nakamise Street to look at souvenirs and local snacks. You’ll then head up the Tokyo Skytree to enjoy brilliant views of the city before taking part in a sushi masterclass. Later, wander through the Imperial Palace Gardens before exploring Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Day 18: See the Snow Monkeys
Take the bullet train to Nagano. Enjoy a local lunch before visiting the 7th Century Zenkoji Temple. Then, head to the Jigokudani Monkey Park where you can see the famous Japanese macaques who bathe in the hot springs here. Stay overnight in a traditional ryokan

Day 19: Travel to Takayama
Get hands on with a soba noodle making demonstration before admiring Matsumoto Castle. Travel through the countryside to discover rural Takayama, ending the day seeing the exhibits at the Festival Floats Exhibition Hall

Day 20: Explore Takayama
Walk through the market this morning before visiting Takayama Jinya, an Edo period rice granary and strolling through the old town. Explore the Hida Folk Village, an open-air museum showcasing traditional houses. Continue to Shirakawago, famous for its gassho-zukuri architecture. Finish the day by travelling to Kanazawa.

Day 21: Visit Kenrokuen
Admire the beautiful Kenrokuen, one of Japan’s Three Great Gardens before visting the 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art. Stroll through the Higashi Chaya district before learning the art of making gold leaf. Finally, discover more about samurai life at the Nomura Samurai Residence.

Day 22: Bullet Train to Kyoto
Hop on a bullet train to Kyoto. On arrival, take a guided tour of the city, including visits to Kinkakuji (The Golden Pavilion’, Gion, Kyoto’s famed Geisha district and the Fushimi Inari Shrine, known for its hundreds of torii gates.

Day 23: Explore more of Kyoto
Spend the morning exploring Nijo Castle and its renowned gardens. Later, enjoy a traditional tea ceremony before wondering through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

Day 24: Fly Kyoto to UK
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back to UK, arriving the same or following day.
