Uncover the hidden treasures of Kyrgyzstan, a land of cinematic landscapes, deep-rooted traditions, and a capital city shaped by the Soviet era. Begin in carefully planned Bishkek before venturing into the wild beauty of the Chon-Kemin Valley, where alpine meadows meet snow-capped peaks. Explore the shimmering shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, framed by ancient petroglyphs, and admire the striking red cliffs of Djety-Oguz Gorge. In Karakol, marvel at distinctive wooden architecture, and step back in time at the historic Burana Tower. Along the way, gain a deeper understanding of Kyrgyz culture, from the artistry of carpet weaving to the ancient practice of eagle hunting.
Day 1: Fly to Bishkek
Fly overnight to Bishkek.
Day 2: Bishkek
Arrive in Bishkek and transfer to your hotel. Later, head out on a tour of the city, starting at Ala-Too Square where you’ll find a statue of Manas, the national hero. Continue to Old Square and the government buildings followed by Victory Square. Finish the morning at the Museum of Art. In the afternoon, visit the Osh Bazaar.

Day 3: Bishkek – Cholpon-Ata
Drive to the northern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul vis Boom Gorge. Here you’ll see ancient petrographs, carvings dating from as far back as 800BC, near the town of Cholpon-Ata. Afterwards, stop at the Ethnographical Museum. This afternoon, take a relaxing boat ride on the Lake.

Day 4: Karakol
Start the day with a gentle hike in the Grigorievsky Gorge, before continuing by car to Karakol. Visit a museum dedicated to Nikolay Przhevalsky, a 19th-century explorer

Day 5: Tepke – Karakol
Head to the village of Tepke and visit a stud farm to see its Kyrgyz horses. After lunch here, return to Karakol. Visit the Dungan Mosque, with its distinctly Chinese architecture before continuing to the wooden Holy Trinity Cathedral.

Day 6: Djety-Oguz Gorge – Tamga
Drive to the southern shore of Lake Issyk-Kul, stopping at multiple points to admire the landscape. Arrive n the Djety-Oguz Gorge where you’ll admire its red-rock formations. Head to the Barskoon Gorge, known for its waterfalls, one of which you’ll walk to. Finally, head to the Nomad Lodge Yurt Camp near Tamga. Here you’ll enjoy a folklore performance and dinner before settling to your yurt.

Day 7: Chon-Kemin Valley
Travel to the Chon-Kemin Valley. Along the way, stop at Fairytale Canyon, where you’ll take a thirty-minute walk and enjoy some free time to explore independently. You’ll also get the chance to meet a local eagle hunter to learn about the tradition and watch a demonstration. Carry on to Bakonbaevo village where you’ll visit a carpet-weaving workshop. Transfer to your accommodation

Day 8: Bishkek
Begin with a refreshing hike in the valley before returning to Bishkek. Enroute, visit Burana Tower, one of the few remnants of the ancient city of Balasagun. On arrival in Bishkek, check into your accommodation.

Day 9: Chunkurchak – Bishkek
Visit Chunkurchak, with a whole morning to amble and admire the scenery. Return to Bishkek this afternoon.

Day 10: Fly home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
