Day 1: To Sri Lanka
Titan’s nationwide shared chauffeur service will collect you from home and bring you to the airport for your overnight flight to Colombo.

Day 2: Colombo
On arrival in Colombo, transfer to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Colombo  – Habarana
In the morning, take a tour of Colombo. See the Pettah bazaar district and visit the fort built by the Portuguese. Continue to Habarana, where you’ll stay for the next three nights.

Day 4: Anuradhapura & Hiriwadunna
Travel to Anuradhapura, where you’ll see ancient Buddhist shrines, dagobas and pokunas. You’ll also visit the sacred Sri Maha Bodi tree. Later, visit Hiriwadunna, for an introduction to local culture and farming practices

Day 5: Sigiriya
This morning, visit spectacular Sigiriya, a 182m-high rock crowned with a fortress where you’ll also find beautiful frescoes. In the afternoon, either enjoy some free time and relax or join an optional excursion to Polonnaruwa. Here you’ll see the remains of the King’s Palace including shrines, temples and the Gal Vihara.

Day 6: Dambulla & Kandy
Today, take a tour of the Golden Temple at Dambulla, which has long been a sacred pilgrimage sight for Buddhists. Take some time to explore before you continue towards Kandy, stopping at a spice garden on route.

Day 7: Royal Botanical Gardens & Temple of the Tooth
Tour the Royal Botanical Gardens this morning, admiring the flora and fauna. Enjoy some free time to relax before watching Kandyan dancers perform the national dance of Sri Lanka. Continue to the royal palace complex for a visit to the Temple of the Tooth.

Day 8: Nuwara Eliya
Travel south to Nuwara Eliya, home of Ceylon tea. Tour a plantation, seeing the entire manufacturing process before enjoying high tea at the hotel.

Day 9: Elephant Transit Home – Yala
Continue to Udawalawe, where you’ll visit the Elephant Transit Home. Here, orphaned or injured elephants are re-habilitated until they’re ready to be released into the wild. Then, head to Yala, one of the country’s most famous national parks.

Day 10: Yala National Park
An early start this morning as you embark on a safari in Sri Lanka’s best-known national park. Search for the elusive leopards, also keeping an eye out for elephants, buffalo, monkeys and deer. Then, enjoy a relaxing afternoon or join an optional evening bird trail.

Day 11: Galle & Beruwala
Head along the south coast of the island to Galle. The best example of a European fortified city in southern Asia, you’ll get to see its sights before travelling north to Beruwala.

Day 12: Return home
Transfer to Colombo for your flight back to the UK. On arrival, Titan’s shared chauffeur service will be waiting to drop you off at your home.
