Days 1-2: Fly to Colombo
Take an overnight flight to Colombo, Sri Lanka’s capital. On arrival, transfer to your hotel in Negombo where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 3: Travel to Sigiriya
Head inland to the Cultural Triangle. Stop at Sevangama Village where you’ll take a scenic catamaran cruise and a tractor ride to see the paddy fields and flower garden. Spend some time with the locals, learning how to cook some local dishes and how to make pottery.

Day 4: Sigiriya Rock Fortress
Travel to Sigiriya, home to the 5^th Century fortress. Explore the gardens and see the beautiful Heavenly Maidens frescoes before passing the colossal lion’s paws to climb to the top. Later in the day, embark on a jeep safari in Minneriya National Park where you’ll have the chance to spot elephants, sloth bears and more.

Day 5: Travel to Kandy
Drive to Dambulla, where you’ll tour its Rock Temple that dates to the 1^st Century BC. Continue to Matale to visit a spice garden before making your way to Kandy. Visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic before enjoying a performance of traditional folk dancing and music.

Day 6: Train Nuwara Eliya
This morning, board a train to Nanu Oya, passing through endless tea plantations and mist-covered mountains. Continue to Nuwara Eliya where you’ll take a tuk tuk ride through the town.

Day 7: Explore Nuwara Eliya
Start the day with a visit to the Tea Factory, where you’ll learn about the process of processing and packaging tea. Then, enjoy a high tea experience at the Grand Hotel Nuwara Eliya

Day 8: Return to Colombo
Travel back to Colombo where you’ll take a tour of the city, visiting the Colombo Museum, Independence Square and the Galle Face Green promenade. Then, explore some of the city’s best food spots with a guided street food tour.

Day 9: Fly to the Maldives
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Malé. On arrival, you’ll be met and escorted to your boat transfer which will take you to your resort.

Days 10-13: Maldives at Leisure
Enjoy 4 days at leisure at the Sun Siyam Olhuveli Resort on a full board basis, with plenty of facilities and optional activities to enjoy.

After breakfasts, travel by boat back to the airport for your flight back to the UK, arriving the same or following day.
