Embark on a culinary and historical journey through Normandy along the Seine River. Explore iconic landmarks such as Château Gaillard and Claude Monet’s home, while paying homage to the region’s pivotal role in history, notably the D-Day landings. Day 1: Arrival at Paris
Travel to Paris and transfer to the ship with the rest of day free to settle in before dinner

Day 2:
Château Gaillard & cider farm
Enjoy a morning of sailing down the Seine as the ship sails past Mantes-la-Jolie and picturesque chalk cliffs. After lunch, arrive at Les Andelys, a small town dominated by the Chateau Gaillard. Spend some time learning about this remarkable castle, built by Richard the Lionheart. After, head to a charming farm where you’ll learn about local cider production, with the chance to try some samples, accompanied by local specialities.

Day 3: Rouen
Awake in Rouen, Normandy’s capital where you’ll take a guided tour of the city. Visit the stunning Gothic Cathedral and the Place du Vieux-Marche. Head back to the ship for lunch and spend another afternoon gliding down the river. Join the chefs in the ship’s lounge for a cooking demonstration to learn about backing Tarte Tatin. Towards the end of the day, moor in Caudebec-en-Caux and enjoy a champagne reception and a musical performance.

Day 4: Normandy Beaches
After breakfast, head off on a full-day tour exploring the D-Day landings. Begin at Ranville Cemetery before seeing Pegasus Bridge and visiting Courseulles sur Mer where you’ll have free time for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Arromanches where you can visit the museum and see remnants of the two harbours constructed for the landing craft. From here, continue to the British Normandy Memorial, where you’ll have views of Gold Beach. Drive back to the ship.

Day 5: Honfleur
In the morning, journey to the delightful town of Honfleur and enjoy a guided tour. Explore the harbour and maze of streets before visiting the town’s oldest creperie where you can try a crepe of your choice. Return to the ship for lunch as it begins its journey back upstream.

Day 6: Giverny & Bizy Castle
Having docked in Vernon, you’ll drive the short distance to Giverny to visit Claude Monet’s Garden and house. See the water garden and water lilies that inspired some of his iconic paintings. After lunch onboard, travel to Bizy Castle, a classic chateau which you’ll tour, seeing the salons. While here, you’ll also learn about the vast varieties of apples grown in the region, during a cider tasting experience, with cheeses included. Back on board the ship, you’ll cruise back to Paris

Day 7: Paris
Having arrived back in Paris, you have the option of two tours this morning. The first is a panoramic coach tour of the city’s sights while the other takes you to the Ile de la Cite, home of Notre Dame, and the Latin Quarter on a walking tour. On both tours, you’ll get the chance to try a classic Parisian macaron. After lunch on the ship, you’re free to explore Paris independently. After dinner, enjoy a performance by a professional accordionist.

Day 8: Return home
After breakfast, disembark the ship and travel back to Paris for your flight or Eurostar journey home
