Meander along the Seine through the captivating landscape that has inspired artists and writers. Explore iconic Paris and experience the beauty of Monet’s garden, discover elegant châteaux, and honour the memory of World War II heroes on Normandy’s historic beaches.
Day 1: Arrival in Paris
Arrive in Paris by plane or Eurostar and transfer to the ship
Day 2: Paris & Conflans
After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Paris with a local expert. Return to the ship at lunch, before cruising for the rest of the afternoon, arriving in Conflans during dinner.
Day 3: Auvers-sur-Oise
Leave the ship to drive through the lush green countryside to the village of Auvers-sur-Oise, which has inspired a number of painters including Van Gogh. While here, visit the elegant Chateau d’Auvers. After lunch, the ship continues along the Seine, giving you the chance to relax onboard and enjoy the facilities.
Day 4: Rouen
Awake in the Rouen, Normandy’s capital and one of Europe’s best preserved medieval towns. Enjoy a guided tour, visiting its impressive Gothic cathedral and exploring its alleys, shops and boutiques. After lunch, begin your cruise to Le Havre, enjoying magnificent views of the landscapes of the valley.
Day 5: D-Day Beaches or Taste of Normandy
Today, choose between a tour of the D-Day beaches, including the British Cemetery and Juno Beach Centre. Then, visit Arromanches-les-Bains which has the best viewing point to Gold Beach. Alternatively, visit to a traditional family-run cheese dairy, producing Normandy’s renowned cheeses, followed by a tasting. Then visit Lisieux for some free time before heading to an estate to try some local cider and apple brandy.
Day 6: Honfleur or Étretat
This morning, you can choose to visit either the town of Honfleur or see the coastal area surrounding the coastal town of Étretat.
Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy an afternoon relaxing onboard the ship. During dinner, the ship moors in Caudebec-en-Caux.
Day 7:
Caudebec with MuseoSeine or Abbey Road
In the morning, you can choose to explore Caudebec-en-Caux at your own pace, or join a visit to the majestic Abbey Jumiège, and the working abbey of Saint-Wandrille, one of the first Benedictine abbeys in Normandy. Return to the ship for lunch and enjoy an afternoon and evening of scenic sailing.
Day 8: Giverny & Vernon
Having docked in Vernon during the night, take a short drive to Giverny to visit Claude Monet’s house and garden. Enjoy time to wander through the tranquil Japanese inspired water garden before returning to the ship for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy an on-board cheese & cider tasting with a local farmer.
Day 9: La Roche-Guyon
This morning, explore La Roche-Guyon on a guided tour, visiting the Château de la Roche Guyon to see the gardens and enjoy the views of the river. If you’re feeling up to it, climb up the castle. Head back to the ship for lunch and a relaxing afternoon of sailing. Enjoy the ‘Chef’s Dinner’ tonight,
Day 10: Versailles & Paris
This morning, visit the Palace of Versailles, with the option for a longer visit with lunch at leisure. The afternoon is free to explore Paris.
Day 11: Return home
After breakfast, depart the ship for your return trip home.
