During this tour, you’ll immerse yourself in the local culture by spending time with families, preparing traditional dishes, venturing into the breathtaking Caucasus Mountains, and hiking to ancient hillside monasteries and fortresses. The rich history of the region is also a highlight: Armenia is home to some of the world’s oldest churches, while Georgia, one of the earliest wine-producing regions, continues to craft wine using traditional methods. Expert local guides will accompany you throughout the journey, ensuring an enriching experience on your tour of Georgia and Armenia.
Day 1: Flight to Georgia
Travel to the airport using Titan’s door-to-door service, and take your flight to Tbilisi
Day 2: Tbilisi
On arrival to the city, head to one of the city’s highest points for panoramic view over the capital. Then, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time before heading to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 3: Dilijan & Tsaghkadzor
Drive across the border and into Armenia. From here, visit a group of Molokans, a Russian sect who settled in Armenia centuries ago. After a tea break at a Molokan house, continue to Dilijan city where you can browse some shops and see a potter at work. Later in the day, visit the Haghartsin Monastery. Stay overnight in Tsaghkadzor.

Day 4: Geghard and Garni
The first stop on today’s exploration is Lake Sevan, where you’ll visit the medieval Sevanavan Monastery. Then, head to Geghard Monastery, hewn out of rocks creating haunting acoustics, which you’ll hear during an exclusive recital. The next destination of today is the Temple of Garni, where you’ll see the Roman bath mosaics. Enjoy lunch at a family home where you’ll part in making lavash bread.

Day 5: Yerevan
Visit Khor Virap Monastery, build over the dungeon where Saint Gregory was imprisoned. From here, admire the immense Mount Ararat. Continue onto Echmiadzin, where you’ll see the Cathedral, said to be the first official Christian church in the world. Then, visit the ruins of Zvartnots Cathedral.

Day 6: Yerevan
Take a guided tour of Yerevan today. Visit the Genocide Memorial and the museum. Spend some time at the Cafesjian Centre for the Arts and Matenadaran where you can learn more about Armenian culture. Continue to the Megerian Carpet Factory to learn about traditional Armenian carpet making. After, enjoy a lunch with a culinary masterclass

Day 7: Yerevan
Today, visit the fortress of Amberd, which sits on the slope of Mount Aragats where a unique variety of grape is grown to make Ararat brandy. Take a tour of the brandy factory, before enjoying a tasting session.

Day 8: Haghpat
Visit the UNESCO protected Haghpat Monastery, a major centre of learning in the Middle Ages. Then, cross the border into Georgia and head back to Tbilisi.

Day 9: Tbilisi
Spend the day exploring Tbilisi, visiting the Old Town, Metekhi Temple, the Mosque and Narikala, the main fortress.

Day 10: Kakheti Region
Head to Kakheti today, the country’s famous wine district. Head to Sighnaghi for a walking tour of the town before heading to winery where you’ll taste some Georgia wines. Continue to ancestral estate of Tsinandali, once owned by Garsevan Chavchavadze who participated in the annexation of Georgia to Russia.

Day 11: Mtshketa & Gori
Head to Mtshketa, capital of the kingdom of Iberia until 500AD. Here you’ll see Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, where many Georgian monarchs are entombed. Then, visit Gori, famous as the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. After some free time, head to the ancient cave city of Uplistsikhe before heading into the Caucasus Mountains.

Day 12: Stepantsminda
From the picturesque settlement of Stepantsminda, head up to Gergeti Sameba Church. Agyer you’re visit, you can hike or catch public transport back to the village. Enjoy lunch with a local family who will also give you a cooking demonstration.

Day 13: Ananuri to UK
Drive towards Tbilisi this morning, stopping en route at Ananuri Castle, where many battles took place. After some time here, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
