Day 1: Arrival in Berlin
Fly to Berlin and transfer to your hotel for the next two nights.
Day 2: Berlin
This morning, take a guided tour of Berlin’s many landmarks, including Checkpoint Charlie, the famous Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag. You’ll also be able to take in Unter Den Linden, the city’s most famous boulevard, the cathedral and the remains of the Berlin Wall.
The afternoon is free to explore. You may wish to visit the Charlotteburg Palace and the Olympiastadion stadium or take a short train journey to Potsdam and Sanssouci Palace.
Day 3: Colditz & Meissen
After breakfast, drive through the countryside into Saxony, crossing the Elbe and arriving in Colditz. Later on, head to the town of Meissen, famous for its production of porcelain. Learn how highly skilled artisans have produced pieces since 1710 before continuing onto Dresden, where you’ll stay for the next two nights.
Day 4: Dresden
This morning, take a tour around Dresden, seeing its collection of Renaissance, Baroque and Classical landmarks, many restored in recent years. In the afternoon, you’re free to explore as you wish.
Day 5: Return home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home
