Day 1: Arrive in Basel
Travel to Basel. Upon arrival, transfer to your five-star river cruise ship. After checking in, the rest of the day is free to settle into your cabin and start enjoying the facilities onboard.

Day 2: Lucerne & Bernese Oberland
Today, you can choose between a full day tour of Lucerne and the Bernese Oberland or a morning tour of Lucerne with a free afternoon in Basel. If you choose the full day excursion, you’ll explore Lucerne before heading into the Bernes Oberland for a railway journey up into the mountains before heading to the ship. If you choose the second option, after the tour of Lucerne, you can either stay on the ship, or hop on a shuttle bus to Basel where you can explore independently.

Day 3: Breisach & The Black Forest
This morning is free for you to relax as the ship sails to the town of Breisach. Arriving before lunch, you have a choice of activity in the afternoon. You can drive through the Black Forest, enjoying the scenery as you head to Freiburg where you’ll take a guided tour before free time. Alternatively, travel along Alsace’s wine tour, visiting Ribeauville and Riquewihr for short tours. Return to the ship for dinner and enjoy a performance by a violin soloist.

Day 4: Strasbourg
After breakfast, take a stroll on a guided tour through the town Strasbourg, know for its canals and pastel-coloured waterfront houses. After a morning of exploring, head back to the ship and enjoy lunch while you begin an afternoon of sailing towards Speyer.

Day 5: Speyer
Having arrived there late last night, this morning is dedicated to exploring the medieval town of city of Speyer. Discover its historic landmarks on a guided tour, including the Imperial Cathedral, the resting place of many Holy Roman emperors. After lunch, the ship continues its cruising, passing scenic countryside and vineyards. Tonight, you’ll be treated to the ‘Captain’s Dinner’ which features specialities from the regions you’re exploring. After dinner, the ship docks in the village of Rüdesheim.

Day 6: Rüdesheim, the Rhine Gorge & Koblenz
This morning explore Rüdesheim, with the option to visit either Siegfried’s Mechanical Music Cabinet or take a cable car to visit the Niederwald Monument. This afternoon, cruise further down river, passing through the dramatic Rhine Gorge. You’ll pass Saint Goar and its ruined castles, as well as the famous Loreley Rock.  You’ll arrive in Koblenz as you enjoy dinner followed by a Rhenish folk music performance.

Day 7: Cologne
Take a guided tour of Koblenz this morning, exploring the medieval buildings in the Old Town as well as the Basilica of Saint Kastor. Return the ship at lunchtime as it begins sailing to Cologne.

Day 8: Cologne
Today, you’ll have a full day to explore Cologne, giving you the chance to visit its museums, gardens, and cafes.

Day 9: Koblenz & Boppard
This morning, you’ll return to Koblenz, where you’ll have free time to wander the city before the ship sails to Boppard. Here you’ll have a guided tour, taking you to see its cobbled streets with timbered houses and the well-preserved town walls.

Day 10: Rhine Gorge & Mainz
Today you’ll sail back through the Rhine Gorge, giving you another chance to take in its magnificent views. Arrive in Mainz, where you’ll join a local expert for a guided tour, ending at St Stephan’s Church. You’ll then have free time to explore.

Day 11: Heidelberg
After cruising further downstream during the night, enjoy breakfast before driving to Heidelberg. Spend the morning on a guided tour of this picturesque town, exploring the compact Old Town and its other attractions. After the tour, there is some free time before returning to the ship for lunch. Alternatively, you can choose to spend more time in Heidelberg, having lunch at leisure before heading to Mannheim in the mid-afternoon.

Day 12: Strasbourg & Colmar
The ship sails back into France this morning, docking in the city of Strasbourg. Spend the morning exploring the city on a tour with a local guide, visiting the Petite France quarter and the Notre-dame Cathedral. You then have the choice to return to the ship for lunch followed by free time. Or, you can join the full-day excursion which takes you to Colmar in the morning for some free time to explore before returning to Strasbourg for a tour.

Day 13: Rüdesheim
Spend the morning relaxing as you cruise to Rudesheim, where the afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish, perhaps joining the included excursion you didn’t take on the cruise’s previous visit to the town. This evening, enjoy a Chef’s Dinner.

Day 14: Cologne
Sail to Cologne today, where you’ll have a guided tour in the afternoon. Choose between a tour of the Old Town or the Cathedral.

Day 15: Return home
Transfer to the airport for your journey home
