Windsurfing
Mornings bring light onshore winds and flat water – ideal for beginners. In the afternoons, thermal winds (“Eric”) kick in, delivering consistent cross-shore conditions while the bay stays relatively flat, even in strong winds.

Equipment: Upgraded fleet of RRD sails paired with a wide range of boards, from beginner to shortboards. Sails up to 6.3m use 60% carbon RDM masts; 6.8m+ use SDM masts.

Wing Foiling
Learn something new with small-group sessions (max 4 people). The 3-hour “First Flights” course (£89 pp) covers the basics. Once completed to a good standard, you can use the equipment free for the rest of your stay (subject to availability).

Dinghy Sailing
A selection of dinghies is available for competent sailors when not in use by kids’ clubs. While lessons aren’t included, private tuition may be offered at an additional cost (subject to availability).

Equipment: Catamaran, beginner double and single handers.

Kayaking & Paddle Boarding
Perfect for calm or light-wind days – just head to the beach and the team will get you set up.

Equipment: Single and double sit-on-top kayaks, Red Paddle Co boards (10’8″), plus an XXL board for up to 8 people.

Cycling
Explore the bay and surrounding mountains on road or off-road routes, from relaxed coastal rides to challenging climbs and single track. Ride solo, with a buddy, or join a guided group.

Bikes: Trek Roscoe 7 (mountain) and Trek Domane AL5 (road).
Tip: Bring your own pedals if using cleated cycling shoes for the best fit.

Fitness & Swimming
Unwind or stay active with beachside yoga and stretch sessions, plus a full programme of fitness classes. Cool off afterwards in the pool – just bring your trainers and energy!

Starfish Creche (4-23 months)
Fun activities including building sandcastles on the beach as well as playing and painting in the clubhouse. Drinks and snacks are included during the creche’s operating hours

Sea Otters (2-5 years old)
This new kids club offers arts & crafts, games and beach play, as well as kayaking and sailing.

Mini Rippers (6-10 years old)
Fun on the beach, as well as plenty of time for water sports and outdoor games

Surf Squad (11-13 years old)
Plenty of group activities to try whether they’re in the pool, the sea or on the beach. There are meal nights and movie nights too.

Hot Shots
8-13 years
This alternative club for those aged 8 to 13 years old is perfect for those wanting focus sailing tuition, with courses following the RYA’s youth scheme

Guests stay at Cosmos Beachclub can choose between staying in the main Beachclub or at the Xenia apartments.

Cosmos
There are 32 rooms here, all of which are simply furnished, but warm and welcoming. The is the option to choose between, double, twin, triple, interconnecting or family rooms.

Xenia Apartments
These apartments are located just across the road from the Beachclub. The apartments have its own pool with sun loungers and a snack bar, in addition to access to the facilities at the main Beachclub.

There are a selection of club double or twin rooms. These have air-conditioning, a private balcony (or shared terrace) and an ensuite bathroom with shower.

Club triple rooms here are ideal for larger groups (max occupancy of 4). They feature a double bed, a single bed, as well as a child-friendly sofa bed. They also have a small kitchenette area.

A simple cold buffet breakfast is included at both Cosmos Beach Club and Xenia Apartments (served poolside at Xenia). Cosmos also has a family-run restaurant and bar for lunch and dinner. With a bed & breakfast setup, dining is relaxed and independent, no hosted tables.

For evenings, head into Vassiliki for a wide choice of harbourfront restaurants and tavernas, from casual gyros to traditional Greek feasts. Enjoy lively local bars or return to Cosmos for a quieter nightcap – there’s no set evening entertainment, so you can do things your way.

Local area
While windsurfing is the main attraction in Vassiliki, the island of Lefkas is well worth exploring. From Lefkas Town – with its relaxed vibe, family-run tavernas, and fresh seafood by the marina – to the quiet mountain villages where life moves at a slower pace, there’s plenty to discover. The island is also home to some of the best beaches in the region, many of them secluded and unspoilt.

Boat trips
Vassiliki’s dramatic coastline, with its striking white cliffs stretching to Cape Lefkatas, is best explored by boat. Day trips take you to beautiful spots like Agiofili beach and the famous Porto Katsiki, while evening excursions offer unforgettable sunsets or a chance to dine waterside in Sivota.

Cephalonia and Ithaca
From Vassiliki port, regular ferries run to the nearby islands of Cephalonia and Ithaca—both rich in history and myth. Ithaca’s capital, Vathi, is a colourful harbour town set in a scenic bay, while Fiskardo in Cephalonia charms visitors with its preserved Venetian architecture and vibrant waterfront.
