Day 1: Arrival in Florence
Fly to Florence and on arrival, transfer to your hotel
Day 2: Florence & the Uffizi Gallery
Having split into smaller groups, you’ll head off for a guided tour of the city, seeing the famous Duomo (cathedral) and the Baptistry. From here, continue to Ponte Vecchio, a bridge with multiple shops along its. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the Uffizi Gallery which houses famous pieces of art such as Botticelli’s The Birth of Venus and others by artists like Caravaggio, Leonarda da Vinc and more. In the evening, regroup for a delicious dinner in a traditional local restaurant
Day 3: Free time in Florence and Boboli Gardens
This morning, wander over the Arno to the Pitti Palace and the surrounding Boboli Gardens, originally designed by and for the Medici Family. See the palace’s collection of paintings and sculptures before exploring the gardens, also home to numerous sculptures. In the afternoon, you’re free to explore the city at your own pace.
Day 4: Lucca & Pisa
After breakfast, leave Florence behind and head to the medieval town of Lucca where you can explore by foot. From here, continue to Pisa, visiting the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. Enjoy some free time here before driving to your next hotel.
Day 5: Volterra, San Gimignano & Farmhouse Lunch
Today you’ll explore rural Tuscany, beginning with a quick stop in Volterra, a town whose small historic centre is maze of narrow cobbled streets. While here, visit a local alabaster to see who they create works from it. Afterwards, head to a family owned farmhouse for a delicious lunch of local dishes. In the afternoon, drive through the picturesque countryside to San Gimignano, famed for the 14 medieval towers that make up its skyline.
Day 6: Siena
After breakfast, drive to Siena, a UNESCO-listed city rich in medieval history. Explore the city on a guided tours, visiting the stunning Piazza del Campo and the black-and-white marble Siena Cathedral with its intricate carvings and inlaid floor. Enjoy free time to wander, shop, or sip wine, then visit a Tuscan winery for a cellar tour and tasting of three local wines with vineyard views.
Day 7: Free Day
Enjoy a full day to spend as you wish, whether that means exploring the local area or simply relaxing at the hotel.
Day 8: Return home
Following breakfast, transfer to the airport for your journey home
