Day 1: Arrival in Lecce
Fly to Italy. On arrival, transfer to Lecce, where you’ll have the rest of the day at leisure

Day 2: Lecce
This morning, take a walking tour of the city, beginning at the Porta Napoli gate. Head to the Jewish Quarter followed by the baroque Basilica di Santa Croce. From here, continue through the Old Town, stopping at Piazza Sant’Oronzo, set on the site of a partially exposed Roman amphitheatre. Finish the tour at Piazza Duomo. The afternoon is at leisure before dinner in a local restaurant.

Day 3: Gallipoli and local winery
Travel south to Gallipoli, where you’ll have free time to explore both the coast and the old town. Later on, head back towards Lecce, stopping en route at a local winery. Learn about wine making in the region before tasting some local products.

Day 4: Alberobello & Olive Mill
Leave Lecce today, heading north, stopping at a family run olive mill to learn about olive oil production and enjoy a tasting. Continue to Alberobello, famous for its trulli houses. Take some time to explore, discovering their origins and how they were built. Then, finish your journey in Matera, where you’ll check into your hotel.

Day 5: Matera
Take a guided tour of the city today, exploring the Sassi Cave houses, which date back over 9,000 years and are still inhabited today. In the afternoon, you can explore at your own pace, or head back to the hotel to relax.

Day 6: Bari
Head to the coastal city of Bari, where you’ll take a guided tour of the Old Town. Discover the medieval fortress and Romanesque cathedral, as well as the Basilica di San Nicola. The afternoon is at leisure to explore independently.

Day 7: Free Day
The entire day is at leisure to spend as you wish, either exploring the city more or making the most of the hotel’s facilities. In the evening, dine at a local restaurant in the city centre.

Day 8: Return home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
