Day 1: Arrival in Rome
Fly to Rome. On arrival, transfer to Arezzo with the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Siena
This morning, journey to the medieval city of Siena where you’ll take a guided tour. Visit the Campo, the heart of the city before admiring the cathedral, constructed from black and white marble. After the tour, relax with a local aperitivo and admire the views of the city.

Day 3: Florence & the Uffizi Gallery
Today is spent exploring Florence. Splitting into smaller groups, join a local guided to visit its key landmarks, including the iconic Duomo. In the afternoon, you’ll have an exclusive visit to the Uffizi Gallery which houses one of the world’s most significant collections of art. Admire works by Botticelli, Raphael and Leonardo da Vinci among others.

Day 4: Arezzo
Staying in Arezzo today, you’ll explore the town on a walking tour. Admire the blend of architectural styles, as well as the Piazza Grande. Visit the Basilica di San Francesco to see the breathtaking frescoes depicting the Legends of the True Cross. The afternoon is at leisure to spend as you wish.

Day 5: Assisi
Leaving Tuscany, travel to village of Assisi in Umbria, admiring the countryside along the way. Assisi is renowned as the birthplace of St Francis. On arrival, take a guided tour, visiting the basilica of St Francis, which houses fine art and his crypt. Following the tour, enjoy some free time before making your way to Rome. Check in to your hotel before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 6: Rome & Tivoli
Take a small group tour of Rome’s most iconic sights this morning including the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain to name a few. In the afternoon, head out of the city to Tivoli. Here you’ll have the choice between visiting the Villa d’Este or the ruins of Villa Adriana.

Day 7: Castel Sant’Angelo & Free afternoon
Begin the day with a visit to Castel Sant’Angelo. Originally built as a burial site for Emperor Hadrian, it’s been used throughout history as a fortress and castle and now houses an intriguing museum. You’ll be able to bypass the queues and explore at your own pace before having a free afternoon. In the evening, regroup for a stroll through the city, enjoying a drink paired with snacks, including local specialities.

Day 8: Return home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home

Located about half a mile from the city walls, this modern hotel has a bar and restaurant serving local cuisine. The rooms are equipped with a tv, telephone, safe and tv.

Golden Tulip Piram, Rome****
Situated near Termini Station, this hotel is within walking distance from a number of Rome’s famous attractions. On site, you’ll find a restaurant and cocktail bar, as well as a spa (local charges apply). Rooms here are equipped with a safe, tv and a mini bar.
