Day 1: To Italy
Travel to the airport and take a flight to Venice. On arrival, transfer to Bassano del Grappa and check into your hotel.

Day 2: Venice
Head to Venice by train where you’ll take a guided walk of the main sights, including Piazza San Marco and the Bridge of Sighs. In the afternoon, you’re free to explore the city independently, perhaps taking a gondola ride on the Grand Canal. Alternatively, join an option excursion to the Doge’s Palace (pre-bookable only).

Day 3: Bassano del Grappa
Enjoy a free day to explore the area around Bassano del Grappa or join the optional trip to the town of Vicenza. Here you can take a guided tour and visit a grappa museum (with a tasting!)

Day 4: Ferrara & Bologna
Head towards Tuscany, travelling through Emilia-Romagna. Here you’ll start at Ferrare, a beautiful walled city and Bologna, renowned for its food, university and distinctive red-brick buildings.

Day 5: Florence
Visit the enchanting city of Florence today, with a guided walking tour in the morning revealing it highlights. You’ll get the chance to entre the Basilica di Santa Croce before a free afternoon to continue exploring the city,

Day 6: Pisa & Lucca
Take a full day excursion to visit both Pisa and Lucca. In Pisa, see the famous Leaning Tower and in Lucca, take a guided walk to the Piazza del Mercato where a Roman amphitheatre once stood.

Day 7: Siena
Head south today, visiting the medieval city of Siena before stopping for a wine tasting at a Tuscany winery. Finally, arrive in Rome this afternoon.

Day 8: Rome
Today, get the perfect introduction to Rome with a tour of the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill before entering the Colosseum in the afternoon.

Day 9: Rome
Spend the morning at leisure before heading to the Vatican to see the Sistine Chapel.

Day 10: Pompeii
Leaving Rome behind, head to the Bay of Naples where you’ll visit the ruins of Pompeii before continuing to Salerno, where you’ll stat for two nights.

Day 11: Sorrento & Gragnano
In the morning, visit Sorrento for some free time in the town before travelling to Gragnano. Famous for its pasta, you’ll visit a local pasta factory for a demonstration in pasta making before returning to Salerno.

Day 12: Giardini Naxos
Continue south through Calabria towards Sicily. En route, visit a mozzarella producer for a tasting before stopping in Cosenza. Then, make the short sea crossing to Messina before transferring to Giardini Naxos

Enjoy a full day at leisure

Day 14: Giardini Naxos
Spend another day at leisure or join an optional excursion to Mount Etna and Taormina, where you can take a guided tour and enter the ancient Greek theatre.

Day 15: Catania
After some free time in the morning, start heading to the airport, making a stop in the coastal town of Acireale. Then, continue to Catania where you’ll board your late evening flight to the UK.
