Day 1: To Portugal
Travel to the airport for your flight to Portugal, arriving into Lisbon

Day 2: Lisbon
Enjoy a guided tour in the company of a local guide, taking in the highlights of the old town, before heading down the river to Belem to take in Belem tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. Along the way, stop to taste pastel de natas and ginjinha, a sweet liqueur made from berries.

Day 3: Arrabida National Park
Head south to the town of Sesimbra where you can enjoy the beach and look at the Moorish castle. Then, continue to the village of Azeitao, where you’ll visit a famous wine cellar to sample muscatel wine. Return towards the hotel, travelling across the seven-mile-long Vasco da Gama Bridge. In the afternoon, stop at a local tile manufacturer to learn about the Portuguese pastime of tile decorating.

Day 4: Alcacer do Sal
Leaving Lisbon, head to Beja today. Along the way, stop at the town of Alcacer do Sal, where you’ll have some time to explore at tour own palace, perhaps visiting the Church of Santa Maria do Castelo and the Museum of Archaeology. Then, continue past Grandola to reach Beja where you’ll visit a local taberna to sample local products before checking into your pousada.

Day 5: Beja
Spend the day exploring the region. Visit the estate of Vale da Rosa and a local wine producer for a tasting before tasting local cheeses in Serpa. While exploring the town itself, see the castle, convent and exploring the Clock Museum.

Day 6: Mertola & Santo Antonio
Travel to the medieval town of Mertola which sits above the Guadiana River. Wander through the streets, viewing the castle and the Igreja Matriz. You might also get the chance to spot the rare black storks which net here. In the afternoon, head to Santo Antonio to check into your next pousada.

Day 7: Sao Bras de Alpotel, Faro & Tavira
Enjoy some quiet time in the town of Sao Bras de Alpotel before traveling to Faro, where you’ll have a brief tour before free time to explore. The final stop of the day is in Tavira.

Day 8: Lagos & Sagres
Head to the port town of Lagos, where you’ll wander through the Old Town, learning about the Mercado de Escravos and visiting the Church of St Anthony. Then, head west to the port of Sagres, venturing out to Cape St Vincent, the most south-western point of mainland Europe.

Day 9: Santo Antonio
Enjoy a day at leisure in Santo Antonio. Those feeling adventurous may wish to catch to ferry to the Spanish town of Ayamonte, just across the river. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 10: Return to UK
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. On arrival, your Titan vehicle will be waiting to take you home.
