Day 1: Arrival in Romania
Fly to Bucharest. On arrival, transfer to the town of Braşov where you’ll check into your hotel

Day 2: Premjer, Braşov & Bran Castle
This morning, travel to the village of Premjer, home to one of Romania’s best preserved fortified churches. Spend some time admiring the fortifications before heading back to Braşov. Take a guided tour of the old town, beginning in Piaţa Sfatului, a Germanic-influenced square that’s home to the Black Church, whose walls are scorched from the great fire of 1869. Later on, travel to Bran to see its famous castle, the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Spend some time exploring its rooms and corridors. *Please note: access to Bran Castle involves a sloping footpath, narrow passages and some steps. You may remain in Brașov for free time if preferred.

Day 3: Viscri & Sighisoara
Begin the day with a drive through the charming countryside to reach Viscri, a beautifully preserved rural community. Here you’ll visit the Viscri Fortified Church before exploring the King Charles House Museum, where you’ll gey a glimpse into centuries-old craftsmanship and traditions. Next, enjoy a traditional lunch at a local farmhouse restaurant. This afternoon, travel to the citadel of Sighisoara. Here you’ll take a guided walk through the stronghold, seeing the 14th– century clock tower with its famous mechanical figures. After, continue to Sibiu and check into your hotel.

Day 4: Sibiu
After breakfast, head out on a guided walking tour of the city, exploring both the Upper and Lower town, seeing landmarks like the Council Tower, the Brukenthal Palace and the Bridge of Lies. Along the way, keep an eye out for the sections of the medieval walls that remain. The afternoon is at leisure to spend as you wish.

Day 5: Corvin Castle & Sibiel Village
Drive to Hunedoara where you’ll find the Corvin Castle, one of the largest Gothic castles in Eastern Europe. Join a local guide to explore the castle, learning about its legends and hidden details. There’s some free time to have lunch at leisure before continuing to the village of Sibiel. Visit the Sibiel Icons on Glass museum, home to the largest collection of glass-painted icons, before a local guide takes you through the village to learn about its customs. For dinner tonight, you’ll visit a local farmhouse to enjoy home-cooked dishes and traditional stories.

Day 6: Sinaia & Peles Castle
Leaving Sibiu, head south-east along one of Romania’s most scenic routes which takes you towards the Carpathian Mountains. Stop for lunch at the Palace Hotel, once consider the most luxurious hotels in Eastern Europe. This afternoon, visit Peleş Castle, a beautiful neo-Renaissance style palace, once the summer residence of King Carol I. With a guide, you’ll head inside to explore the reception hall, the weapons gallery and the ornate themed salons. Afterwards, head south to Bucharest.

Day 7: Bucharest
This morning, explore the city on a guided tour, getting an inside visit to the extraordinary Palace of Parliament before visiting the Village Museum, an open-air collection of traditional houses, wooden churches and workshops that offer a glimpse into village life. The afternoon is then free to explore at your own pace. In the evening, regroup for a leisurely walking tour of the old town before a farewell dinner in one of the city’s celebrated restaurants.

Day 8: Return home
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home
