Wind conditions

Snorkelling and sea scooters

Discover Sicily’s clear, calm waters from a whole new perspective. The sheltered Sicilian coastline offers ideal conditions for kayaking and paddle boarding. Equipment is ready on the beach, making it easy to launch whenever you choose. For something extra, join a guided weekly safari to explore the coastline while learning new skills.

Catamaran sailing

With warm winds, turquoise water and an easy beach launch, Sicily is a superb sailing destination. Beginners can join a taster session, thrill-seekers can enjoy an instructor-led joyride, and experienced sailors can take to the water independently when conditions allow.

Racket sports – tennis, padel and pickleball

If you love racket sports, this is the place to be. Our only club offering tennis, padel and pickleball together, with six tennis courts, two floodlit padel courts and eight pickleball courts. Whether you’re a beginner or experienced player, there’s plenty of space to play, practise and improve with expert coaching on hand.

Fitness and yoga

From energising workouts to mindful movement, Sicily offers fitness for every pace. Join yoga on the panoramic sea-view deck, try SUP yoga on the beach, or choose Pilates and stretch classes for recovery and balance. If you prefer higher intensity, enjoy BoxFit, strength sessions, core training and guided runs through the resort grounds. Every class is included and led by expert instructors.

Sound bath

Slow down and fully unwind with a restorative sound bath session. Using singing bowls, gongs and chimes, gentle vibrations create a calming atmosphere designed to relax the body, clear the mind and leave you feeling refreshed.

During the school holidays, childcare for those aged 2 – 13 years is included as well as additional activities for teens. Outside the school holidays, only kids’ clubs for those aged 2 to 5 years are available. Those aged 13 and over can join in with the standard activity programme. Those aged 4-23 months can join the creche which is available at an extra cost.

All included kids clubs have the following opening times: 4 days a week from 9.30 am-5.30 pm, 2 days a week from 2.30 pm-11 pm

Babies and younger toddlers can spend their day playing in the sand or playing on their trikes. Drinks, snacks, and high tea are all included during club hours.

The resort is built into the natural slope, with five terraces leading down from reception to the pool and beach, ensuring every room enjoys uninterrupted sea views.

The 34m² Deluxe Sea View rooms are bright, modern, and relaxing, with soft tones, thoughtful design, and a private terrace overlooking the sea and gardens.

For extra space, the 49m² Junior Suites offer stylish comfort, a calming natural palette, and a private terrace with sweeping garden and Mediterranean views – perfect for lounging after a day on the water.

Neilson guests stay on a half-board basis, with buffet breakfast and dinner served in Mediterra, the resort’s main restaurant. If you’d rather keep evenings flexible, dinner can be swapped for lunch on any day – simply let the team know. For a small supplement, you can also dine in the resort’s à la carte restaurants, including wood-fired pizza at Al Grano, sushi at Kaigan and authentic Sicilian dishes at Donna Floriana.

Piazza Angelo Scandaliato and Sciacca harbour

Located in the heart of Sciacca’s old town, this lively piazza offers beautiful sea views, authentic Sicilian atmosphere and spectacular sunsets. It’s the perfect place for an evening stroll or aperitivo near the harbour.

Castello dei Conti Luna

These medieval castle ruins overlook Sciacca and offer panoramic views across the town and coastline. Nearby, Castello Incantato features thousands of hand-carved stone heads by local artist Filippo Bentivegna.

Valley of the Temples

Just over an hour away in Agrigento, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of Europe’s most impressive archaeological treasures, with vast landscapes, ancient Greek temples and towering Doric columns.

Monte Kronio and the Steam Caves

Head up Monte Kronio to visit the famous natural steam caves, long known for their therapeutic qualities. The area also rewards visitors with fresh air and sweeping coastal views.

Mount Etna

For a memorable day trip, visit Mount Etna, Europe’s tallest active volcano. Its dramatic lava fields, ancient craters and smoking summit create one of Sicily’s most iconic landscapes. It’s around four hours each way, but a true bucket-list experience.
