Day 1 – Travel to Geneva
Travel from London on the Eurostar to Paris. Here, board the TGV high-speed train that will bring your through Burgundy and the Jura Hilss to Geneva, Switzerland. You’ll stay here for 2 nights
Day 2- Geneva
After breakfast, take a guided walking tour of Geneva, with a chance to see its harbour, Place Neuve, and the reformation wall. Later in the day, embark on a cruise across Lake Geneva, enjoy lunch on the journey. The rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 3 – Montreux
Take a scenic train journey along the lake’s Northern side to reach Montreux. Upon arrival, you’ll have free time to enjoy some lunch before taking a guided tour that lets you follow in the footsteps of Freddie Mercury. Visit Queen Studio Experience before taking the train to Lausanne. After checking in to the hotel, enjoy some free time to explore.
Day 4 – Chateau du Chillon & Chexbres
After breakfast, take the train to Chateau du Chillon. Enjoy a tour of this medieval fortress, learning about its fascinating history. After some free time to see more of the Chateau, you’ll travel to Chexbres, taking a cruise over the lake to Vevey then a short train journey to Chexbres. Once there, take part in a wine tasting session before returning to Lausanne.
Day 5 – Golden Pass Experience
Return to Montreux in the morning, where you’ll board the Golden Pass Express Train, one of the world’s greatest rail journeys. Enjoy stunning views as you travel through the mountains, forests, and past alpine villages. Upon arriving in Gstaad, transfer to Col du Pillon, where you’ll ascend to the summit of Glacier 3000 in a cable car. Here you can enjoy brilliant views of some the Alps’ most iconic peaks. After, enjoy some free time.
Day 6 – Gruyères & Broc
This morning, visit a local dairy where you’ll be able to watch master cheesemakers and try and buy some produce. Then, head to the village of Gruyères, where you have free time for lunch. Later in the afternoon, continue to Broc, to visit a local chocolate factory.
Day 7 – Free Day
Explore Lake Geneva with your Lausanne transport card, with your expert tour manager on hand to advise and assist.
Day 8 – Return home
Journey back to the UK, taking the TGV to Paris, then the Eurostar to London.
