Budapest

The capital of Hungary and the largest city situated on the Danube River, Budapest was formed from merging the cities of Buda, Óbuda and Pest together in the 19^th Century but the area surrounding it had been settled even before Romans had arrived in the region. Sights such as the Hungarian Parliament, Buda Castle and the Chain Bridge, Heroes’ Square, Fisherman’s Bastion with Matthias Church and the Liberty Bridge provide a diverse range of landmarks to visit. For excursions, city tours of both Buda and Pest are highly recommended.

Vienna

The capital of Austria, The City of Music has been home to famous classical musicians such as Beethoven, Brahms and Bruckner. Popular sites include the splendorous Schönbrunn Palace, St Stephen’s Cathedral, Vienna State Opera, Belvedere Palace and the Spanish Riding School. For excursions, the Vienna City Tour by Bike is a popular choice.

Passau

One of the most renowned centres of sword and bladed weapon manufacturing in the Holy Roman Empire during the Renaissance, Passau remains a city of immense value, with incredible Baroque architecture being present after the city was rebuilt due to a devastating fire in the 17^th Century. Displays of the cities elegant style include the Veste Oberhaus, one of the largest preserved fortresses in Europe and the St. Stephen’s Cathedral. A guided bike tour along the Inn River remains a constantly popular excursion with tourists.
