8-day itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Budapest

Following your arrival in Budapest, transfer via coach to luxury cruise ship, with the remainder of the day free for you to familiarise yourself with your home for the next seven nights.

Day 2: Esztergom

Commence your adventures in Hungary as you commence the day in Esztergom – one of the oldest cities in the country. Visit the iconic basilica whilst on a guided tour of the city, along with many other historic gems during day two.

Day 3: Bratislava

Immerse yourself in the wonders of Slovakia’s capital city while on a guided tour of the city’s highlights. You’ll be able to see the beautiful classicist buildings in the old town, with there being a scheduled brewery visit, which includes a tasting experience. You’ll then re-board the ship for an afternoon of free time.

Day 4: Dürnstein & Melk

The journey continues to Dürnstein for a guided walking tour, which includes a visit to the iconic Melk Abbey. Gain fascinating insights into the area’s extensive history while on a full day of exploration here. Following this visit, you’ll re-board the ship and embark on a scenic cruise through the Wachau Valley and Nibelungengau.

Day 5: Linz or Salzburg

Today, you’ll have the option to either explore the town of Linz on a guided tour, or head to Salzburg for a full-day excursion.

Day 6: Vienna

Soak up the best of what Vienna has to offer as you embark on a guided tour of the city during day 6, which includes a scheduled visit to a Gerstner confectioner for a strudel making demonstration. You’ll also visit the Vienna Boys Choir for a live classical recital in the afternoon.

Day 7: Budapest

The final day is jam-packed full of activities for you to take part in. Enjoy the wonderful surrounding scenery as you cruise along the Danube Bend towards Budapest. On arrival in Hungary’s vibrant capital, you’ll embark on a tour of the city’s Central Market and taste the local delicacies, before heading to the Zwack Unicum Museum for a tour, where you’ll also be able to try the museum’s iconic herbal liqueur.

Day 8: Return home

Head back to the airport for your return flight home.
