8- day itinerary

Day 1: Mainz arrival

After arriving in the city of Mainz, an included coach journey will bring you to your five-star cruise ship. Be sure to familiarise yourself with the ship’s excellent facilities and look forward to a delicious first-night dinner, once you are onboard.

Day 2: Mainz

Embark on a guided city of Mainz’s highlights during the morning, including visits to the stunningly-preserved 12th-century cathedral – St. Martin’s Dom, Gutenberg Museum and Saint Stephen’s Church. Following this, re-board your cruise ship and enjoy an afternoon of sailing towards Miltenburg.

Day 3: Miltenberg & Wertheim

The journey continues towards the charming villages of Miltenburg and Wertheim on day 3. After mooring in Miltenburg, you’ll disembark the ship and head out for a scheduled tour. Immerse yourself in Miltenburg’s scenic charm before arriving in Wernheim for a meticulously-planned walking tour in the afternoon.

Day 4: Wurzburg

Soak up the remarkable surrounding scenery as the cruise sails towards Wurzburg during the morning. After you arrive, take part in a guided tour of this Bavarian city, with visits to key highlights such as the Residenz – a UNESCO-listed World Heritage Site, as well as the striking Marienberg Fortress.

Day 5: Rothenburg & Ochsenfurt

Prior to your experiences in Rothenburg, enjoy a scenic drive along the Rainbow Road to witness and see a mixture of castles, medieval towns, and palaces along the way. Following this, explore the narrow, cobbled streets of Rothenburg during a scheduled visit.

A short drive will then take you to Ochsenfurt, where you’ll head out for another guided tour of this charming old town.

Day 6: Bamberg

Spend the morning at your own leisure and enjoying the ship’s five-star facilities, before discovering what Bamberg has to offer while on a guided tour.

Day 7: Nuremburg

During the penultimate morning of your journey, sit back and relax as you cruise towards the Bavarian city of Nuremburg. While here, join an additional guided tour of the city, before enjoying an afternoon of free time.

Day 8: Return Home

This unfortunately signals the end of your magical journey. After disembarking the ship, it’s time to transfer to the airport to return home.
