Day 1: Arrival in Baveno
Arrive at the airport for your flight to Italy. Transfer by coach by Baveno on the shores of Lake Maggiore. Enjoy an included dinner at a local restaurant this evening

Day 2: Lake Maggiore & Borromean Islands
Take a relaxing cruise across the lake to the beautiful Borromean Islands. The first port of call is at Isola Bella, home to a stunning palazzo and gardens. You’ll enjoy a guided tour of the pallazo before cruising to Isola dei Pescatori. Spend some time having lunch at leisure and wandering the streets before heading back to Baveno

Day 3: Cannobio & Villa Taranto
Start this morning with a private boat ride to Cannobio, the last town before the Swiss border. Spend a couple of hours here before driving to Villa Taranto. Here you’ll see the marvellous gardens here, home to almost 20,000 plants from across the world.

Day 4: Lake Como
This morning, explore Lake Como. The town is known for its imposing cathedral, delightful parks and the majestic Villa Olmo. For tours departing in 2027, you’ll travel along the lake to reach Villa Carlotta in the afternoon. Here you’ll stroll through the gardens, famed for its azaleas and exotic orchids before heading inside to see its collection of artworks. In 2027, you’ll have dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 5: Free day
An entire day at leisure to relax or explore the nearby resort of Stresa.

Day 6: Zermatt & the Matterhorn
Cross the border into Switzerland and visit the iconic village of Zermatt. Take the Simplon Pass, and ancient route through the mountains that crosses towering viaducts and passes tumbling waterfalls. Upon arrival, you’ll be able to see the awe-inspiring Matterhorn. Enjoy some time to relax or perhaps head up to Gornergrat to take in the views (chargeable locally). In 2027, dinner will be included this evening.

Day 7: Lake Orta
See one of the prettiest of the lakes, Orta. Visit the romantic lakeside village of Orta San Giulio. As you walk down pebbly lanes, you find picturesque medieval buildings and traditional shops. A boat trip takes you to the island of San Giulio, home to an enchanting Basilica.

Before returning to the hotel, visit Arona on Lake Maggiore’s southern end. Here you’ll view the monumental stature of San Carlo Borromeo, Archbishop of Milan, once the world’s tallest bronze statue. This evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 8: Return home
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
