Day 1: Arrival
Head to the airport and fly to Tangier. On arrival, transfer to your hotel, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure before regrouping for a welcome dinner
Day 2: Tangier
This morning, set off on a guided tour of the city, beginning at the Kasbah, where the museum offers glimpses into the city’s history. Take a break at the legendary El Hafa Café for a coffee overlooking the bay before diving into the old medina. Wander past the lively squares and the grand most before travelling to the Hercules Grottoes. Explore these ancient sea caves before continuing to Cape Spartel, where you can spot Gibraltar and the meeting point of the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Head to a local restaurant for relaxed lunch before heading back to the hotel. In the evening, gather for dinner at another local restaurant.
Day 3: Chefchaouen
After breakfast, leave Tangier and travel to Tétouan. Take a walking tour of both the old and new sections of the city, during which you’ll se the Governor’s Palace, the first North African Mosque and get the chance to wander the Spanish Garden before having free time for lunch. After, head into the Rif mountains to reach Chefchaouen, fames for its blue-washed houses. Explore the maze of alleys at the top of the medina before visiting its historic Kasbah, a fortress built in the 15th Century. Stop for a refreshment at a café around the main plaza before visiting the Ras Elma Spring. In the afternoon, check into your hotel in Chefchaouen.
Day 4: Meknes
Head to Meknes, stopping en route for a refreshment in Ouazzane. On arrival in Meknes, take a guided tour, beginning at the Bab El Khemis gate. From here, wander through the medina, seeing a number of architectural gems like the Nejjar Mosque. Step inside the Idrisid Palace and see the Bou Inania Madrasa before strolling across El Hedim Square. Visit the Mausoleum of Mouley Ismaïl and Sahrij Souani, the perfect place to admire the city’s gardens. Then, head to the Roual Academy to visit the Meknes Stud Farm, where Morocco’s finest horses are bred. After the tour, check into your hotel.
Day 5: Fez
Today, you’ll travel to the imperial city of Fez. Join a local guided and explore Fes el Bali, the ancient medina, uncovering the city’s history as a place of learning and faith. Take your time soaking in the atmosphere, visiting landmarks such as the Medresse el Attarine, the famous tannerie and the restored caravanserai. After the tour, return to the Meknes
Day 6: Erfoud
Leave Meknes and make the long journey to Erfoud. The journey takes you through the picturesque Ziz Valley and past Midelt where you’ll stop to meet the local Berber community, getting the chance to step inside a Bedouin Tent and share stories before enjoying free time for lunch. Continue to the region of Ait Merghad and the Ait Atta Tribes in Errachida where you’ll pause for refreshments before making your way to Erfoud, arriving by late afternoon.
Day 7: Erfoud & Merzouga
Enjoy a relaxed morning at the hotel in Erfoud before setting out on an orientation tour of Erfoud and Rissani. Erfoud is famed for its fossils, and you’ll spot shops selling home accessories crafted from ancient stones. In Rissani, you’ll visit the ancient ksar Moulay Slimane, the ancestral home of Morocco’s royal family and take some time to explore the lively souk. Continue through the oasis of Tafilalt before arriving in the dunes of Merzouga. Here, the Erg Chebbi desert stretches out in front of you, and you’ll get to watch the sun set over the dunes while enjoying a delicious dinner and a drum performance before returning to the hotel.
Day 8: Todgha gorges, Kalaa Mountains & Ouarzazate
After breakfast, leave Erfoud and journey through the spectacular Todgha Gorge. You’ll then continue through the Dades Valley before pausing for lunch in Boumalen Dades, where you can admire the valley’s famous piste roads. After lunch, travel through the Valley of Roses, where the local kasbahs produce Morocco’s finest rose water before continuing to Skoura, the ‘Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs’. This region, home to many still inhabited kasbahs, offers sweeping views of the Atlas Mountains. Arrive in Ouarzazate this evening and check into your hotel.
Day 9: Ouarzazate & Ben Haddou
Set out on a half-day adventure from Ouarzazate, the gateway to the desert. After breakfast, visit Tifoultoute village to admire panoramic views of desert plains, palm groves, and distant mountains. Explore Atlas Film Studios, where iconic films like Gladiator and Star Wars were shot, before continuing to the scenic village of Ait Benhaddou. Wander its towered kasbahs, stroll winding lanes, and enjoy lunch with traditional Moroccan dishes while taking in views of the Oued Elmaleh. Back in Ouarzazate, visit the historic Taourirt Kasbah, meet local artists, and browse silver shops before returning to the hotel.
Day 10: Atlas Mountains
This morning, leave Ouarzazate behind, journeying through lush valleys where you might get a glimpse of Berber life. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before crossing the legendary Tizi n’Tichka pass. Stop for refreshments in Taddert, before passing the scenic valleys of Zat, Ourika, and Ghighaya. By afternoon, reach Ouirgane, where the evening is free to relax after checking into the hotel.
Day 11: Atlas Mountains
Following a leisurely breakfast, join a mountain guide for a gentle trek the landscape surrounding Ouirgane. Heading east, you’ll see fields of corn and wildflowers before pauding to take in the view of Jbel Toubkal before wandering higher. You’ll meet a local family and sit down with them to enjoy fresh mint tea. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to the hotel where the evening is free to relax.
Day 12: Essaouira
This morning, head off towards the southern slopes of the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll see olive groves and tiny Berber villages before continuing onto the coastal town of Essaouira. On arrival, head out on a tour, visiting the Bab El Marse port and taking in the sweeping views. Then, head into the medina to meet local artisans and merchants, as well as a women’s cooperative where you’ll learn the secrets of Morocco’s famous argan oil. Then, check into your hotel.
Day 13: Free day in Essaouira
Enjoy a full day to explore Essaouira at your own pace or to simply relax in the hotel. In the evening, regroup for dinner.
Day 14: Marrakesh
After a relaxed breakfast, leave Essaouira and travel to Marrakesh. On arrival, check into the hotel before having the afternoon at free to spend as you wish. In the evening, regroup for a visit to Jemaa el-Fnaa Sqaure where you’ll head to a rooftop terrace for a drink before entering Dar Essalam, a palace turned restaurant. Here, enjoy a three-course feast accompanied by oud music and a cultural show.
Day 15: Return home
