Day 1: Fly to Morocco
Fly to Morocco, arriving in Casablanca. On arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before gathering for a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Travel to Chefchaouen
Visit the Hassan II Mosque before departing for Rabat, the country’s capital. Stop here to admire the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Then visit the Kasbah des Oudayas before having lunch at a local restaurant. Then, travel into The Rif to Chefchaouen, a town famous for its blue-washed buildings.

Day 3: Explore Chefchaouen
This morning, wander through the town, stopping at artisan workshops to see bread being baked and to sample local cheese. Enjoy lunch in a traditional riad before having the afternoon free to explore independently. In the evening, gather for a Hadra Chaounia, an ancient musical sufi tradition led by local women.

Day 4: Ancient Volubilis
Head down to the mountains, stopping for a guided walk through the ruins of Volubilis, known for its ancient mosaics. Continue to Fez and enjoy dinner in the medina.

Day 5: Discover Fez
Spend the morning exploring the medina, seeing the crafts in the tanners’ quarter and admiring ancient fountains and madrasas. In the afternoon, choose to take part in either a ceramics workshop or a cooking class.

Day 6: Into the desert
Journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, making stops along the way to admire the cedar forests before passing through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud. Here, transfer to 4×4 vehicles to head out into the desert to your lodge. On arrival, sit down to dinner under the sky.

Day 7: Through the High Atlas Mountains
Take the 4×4 back to Erfoud and continue into the High Atlas Mountains. Visit the Todra Gorge before arriving in Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO-listed ksar (fortified village) used as a location in many popular films.

Day 8: Arrive in Marrakech
Explore the alleyways of Ait Ben Haddou, admiring its traditional clay architecture. Continue through the Mountains, admiring the views as you cross the Tizi n’ Tichka Pass before arriving in Marrakech.

Day 9: Explore Marrakech
Spend the morning exploring the city. Stroll through the courtyards and peaceful gardens of the Bahia Palace, admiring its architecture. Then, see the Ben Youssef Madrasa. This afternoon, enjoy time at leisure before enjoying dinner in the old medina, complete with traditional live music.

Day 10: Fly to Rome
Say goodbye to Morocco and take a flight to Rome. On arrival, transfer to your hotel before having the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Discover ancient Rome
See some of Rome’s most awe-inspiring sights today, including the Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Trevi Fountain. Later, join a local chef for a pasta making experience before feasting on your creations.

Day 12: Embark the Sun Princess
Transfer to the port in Civitavecchia to board your cruise ship. Spend the rest of the day settling into your cabin and exploring the onboard facilities.

Day 13: Cruise – Naples*
The ship docks in Naples today, where you could choose to wander through the old streets, visit the ruins of Pompeii or venture to the island of Capri.

Day 14: Cruise – At Sea
Enjoy a full day onboard the ship, exploring the variety of facilities and activities available.

Day 15: Cruise – Crete*
Call at Chania on the island of Crete today where you can admire a mixture of Minoan, Venetian and Roman history. Stroll along the port or head out to the ruins of Knossos.

Another day onboard the Sun Princess to relax or make the most of the activities.

Day 17: Cruise – Kusadasi*
Port in Kusadasi on Turkey’s Anatolian Coast. Spend a relaxing day in this seaside resort or head to the ruins of Ephesus to see the well-preserved ruins.

Day 18: Cruise – Mykonos
Spend the day on the lively island of Mykonos. Perhaps visit the famous windmills and explore the boutiques or take a boat ride to Delos to see its ancient temple ruins.

Day 19: Disembark the Sun Princess
The ship arrives in Athens where you’ll disembark the ship. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure before dinner at the hotel in the evening.

Day 20: Explore Athens
This morning, visit the famous Acropolis and its adjoining museum, followed by a walking out to sample some the city’s finest food. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a traditional taverna accompanied by a lively dancing show.

Board your flight back to the UK, arriving the same or following day.
