Day 1 – Arrival in Reykjavik
Fly to Reykjavik where you’ll to transfer to the port to board the ship. Depending on the arrival time of your flight, enjoy time at leisure before dinner.

Day 2 – Stykkishólmur
After a leisurely morning and breakfast, the ship glides into Stykkishólmur, famed for its diverse landscapes and natural beauty. The town is home to several museums including the Norwegian House, the older two storey wooden house in Iceland. You may choose to explore the Snæfellsnes peninsula on a scenic drive, with a chance to pause for photos at Kirkjufell mountain.

Day 3 – Ísafjörður
Arrive in the idyllic town of Ísafjörður, where you can visit the Old Hospital to enjoy the various exhibits it hosts, see little shops selling local handicrafts or view the whale bone arch structure in the local park. A guide will also take you to visit the famous Dynjandi Waterfall.

Day 4 – Húsavík
This morning, arrive in Húsavík, the ‘whale watching capital’ of the world for an action-packed day. You can take an optional cruise for a chance to see whales, or you can join the excursion to see Goðafoss and visit the volcanic Lake Mývatn, to enjoy its rich flora and fauna and the hot springs of Námaskarð. There is also the option to stay in Húsavík and explore independently.

Day 5 – Mjóifjörður & Hellisfjordur
Relax on board as the ship cruises through the narrow stretch of the Mjóifjörður. After lunch, the scenic cruising takes you along Hellisfjordur.

Day 6 – Eskifjörður
 We arrive in Eskifjörður, a delightful seaside village in Iceland’s East Fjords region. Wander one of the many walking trails, stop for a visit at the Maritime Museum or the superbly preserved old fishing shed, Randulff’s Seahouse, now also a restaurant. You can also join a guide to discover more treasures of the Eastern Fjords, a world-famously exquisite wilderness with a plethora of dramatic views to savour. The guide will impart their insightful knowledge of this wonderful part of Iceland, steeped in geological beauty, culture and history.

Day 7 – Djúpivogur
Today, enjoy a leisurely day in the small village of Djúpivogur with its 460-strong Cittaslow community. There’s plenty of time to explore the village under your own steam including its enchanting coastline studded with colourful beaches, waterfalls, brooding mountains and fertile valleys. There are also some small museums to take in plus a variety of trails tailored for birdwatching as well as various sculptures dotted around the town.

Day 8 – Djúpivogur to Berufjörður
Sail out of Djúpivogur harbour and into Berufjörður for a relaxing day of cruising. Find a comfortable spot in the lounge or enjoy a coffee on your cabin’s private balcony whilst keeping an eye out for the wonderful birdlife here – puffins, eiders, and a large variety of ducks and waders.

Day 9 – Vestmannaeyjar
Known as the Westmann Islands, Vestmannaeyjar, a magnificent archipelago of 15 islands and dramatic sand rock pillars rising from the blue, lies 10km off Iceland’s south coast. A local guide will enlighten you with more fascinating history of the area as you take a scenic drive around the beautiful island of Heimaey.

Day 10 – Reykjavik
This morning, arrive back in Reykjavik having fully circumnavigated Iceland’s stunning coastline. But your Icelandic adventure doesn’t end yet as you have a full day to explore this northernmost capital city. Enjoy a guided tour of this vibrant city seeing some of its highlights including the striking Hallgrimskirkja church.

Day 11 – Return Flight
Disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for you flight home.

Day 4 – Husavik
Whale Watching Tour (3 hours)
Join a local boat and sail out into Skjálfandi Bay to try and spot some whales.
(Please note, this excursion may not be exclusive to Riviera guests and sightings of wildlife are not guaranteed)

Day 7 – Djupivogur
Full Day Glacier Lagoon with lunch (8.5 hours)
Arrive at the glacial lagoon of Jökulsárlón, some 100 metres deep and carved from the glacier Breiðamerkurjökull, an arm of the Vatnajökull glacier. Here you can experience the pristine blue waters on a boat cruise. After the cruise, enjoy a 2-course lunch at a local restaurant.

Join your special 4×4 vehicle for a tour that takes you off the beaten track to see stunning mountain scenery and beautiful waterfalls

Day 10 – Reykjavik

Full Day Golden Circle (8 hours)
Enjoy a full day touring the ‘golden circle’, a 190-mile route which visits three of Iceland’s most popular natural attractions: Thingvellir National Park, the geysir geothermal area and Gullfoss waterfall.

The Blue Lagoon (4 hours)
Enjoy a refreshing bathe or swim in the rejuvenating mineral rich waters which stay a constant 36°-38°C. Your visit is with the added benefit of the comfort admission which includes a silica mud mask, towel and a drink of your choice.
