Day 3: Flam to Bergen
This morning, sail through the beautiful Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. Arriving in Gudvangen, continue to Voss, where you’ll board the rain to Bergen. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish.

Day 4: Board MS Trollfjord
Following some free time in the morning, you’ll be transferred to the Hurtigruten Terminal, where you can visit the guest lounge and book any last-minute excursions. Once onboard the ship, meet the team and settle into your cabin before dinner.

Day 5: Andalsnes
Today’s port of call is the town of Andalsnes, surrounded by magnificent mountains. Perhaps hike to the Rampestreken view point or take a relaxing ride on the Romsdal Gondola.

Day 6: Træna
Head into the heart of this archipelago with a selection of activities. Visit the village that is open just for Hurtigruten guests or join one of the optional excursions. Back on board, cross the Arctic Circle.

Day 7: The tip of Lofoten
Spend the day exploring the Lofoten Islands. Dock in Reine, one of the most photographed landscapes in all of Norway. From here, you can visit Å, an amazingly preserved traditional fishing village, on an optional excursion.

Day 8: Gateway to the Arctic
Today, the ship docks in Tromsø, which throughout history has been the starting point for many Arctic exploration voyages. You’ll have nearly the whole day to explore, perhaps visiting the Arctic Cathedral or taking the cabled car up Storsteinen Mountain.

Day 9: At the top of Europe
This morning, you’ll arrive in Honningsvåg, the northernmost island in mainland Norway. From here, you can join an optional excursion to visit the North Cape where you can gaze out over the Barents Sea. Later, the ship sets sail north.

Day 10: Towards the Arctic Frontier
You’ll spend the whole of the day at sea, enjoying the facilities onboard. Keep an eye out for Bear Island, which you’ll sail past before having a briefing about protecting the local ecology on Svalbard.

Day 11: Arrive in Longyearbyen
Today, you’ll reach Svalbard, making your way to its largest island, Spitsbergen. In the afternoon, the ship arrives in the town of Longyearbyen. Disembark the ship and transfer to your hotel, the Funken Lodge. Enjoy dinner at the hotel this evening.

Day 12: Wildlife & Glacier Tour
After breakfast, head to the harbour to board the MS Bard, a hybrid catamaran. Cruise along the edge of Billefjorden, where you can spot the Nordenskiöldbreen glacier and the abandoned town of Pyramiden. Head back to Longyearbyen, where you’ll visit Huset, the town’s iconic restaurant. Enjoy a 14-course tasting menu, created with Arctic ingredients.

Day 13: End of tour
After breakfast, head to the airport for your flight home

This voyage is also available with a 4-day cruise extension, beginning on Day 13 of the standard itinerary

Day 1: A New Day, a New Adventure
Following breakfast, you’ll have some free time to explore Longyearbyen. Later, have lunch at Funken Lodge before transferring the MS Serenissima to begin your voyage along Spitsbergen’s west coast. This afternoon, you’ll sail through Isfjorden, where you might spot seabirds and walruses.

Day 2: Into the Arctic Wilderness
Enjoy a full day of expedition cruising today. You’ll reach Magdalenefjorden, where a landing will let you explore a former whaling station and a burial ground. Later, continue along the North West Corner where you might be able to make another landing.

Day 3: Wildlife at 80° North
Today’s sailing includes time in Woodfjorden and Leifdefjorden, two connected areas with completely different landscapes. Here you’ll find a range of wildlife, from seals to whales as well as puffins (depending on the time of year). If the conditions allow, you’ll continue past 80° North to approach Moffen Island, known for its walruses.

Day 4: Fjords, glaciers and research
You can look forward to two scheduled landings. The first is in Kongsfjorden, a broad inlet framed by mountains. Here you’ll get a guided walk on the tundra. Later, the ship will arrive in  Ny-Ålesund, an active research settlement. Head on shore to explore, visiting its landmarks and learning about the working being conducted. You’ll even get the chance to post mail from the world’s northernmost post office.

Day 5: Heading home
The ship returns to Longyearbyen this morning. Disembark and enjoy some free time before heading to the airport for your onward flight.
