Savour the long summer days as you explore Finnish Lapland and the charming coastal towns of Norway on this tour & cruise. Start your journey in Stockholm with an overnight ferry to Helsinki. Spend the next few days discovering Rovaniemi, Santa Claus’s hometown, and Saariselkä, the cultural hub of the indigenous Sámi.

Then, cross into northern Norway and board a cruise ship in Kirkenes for a southbound Coastal Express voyage along the Norwegian coast. Visit destinations such as Hammerfest and Tromsø, and marvel at the beauty of the Lofoten Islands and the Helgeland coast on your way to Bergen.

Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm
Travel to Stockholm. Upon arrival, make your own way to the hotel to check-in. Any time left before dinner is at leisure. Enjoy a welcome dinner at the hotel where you’ll meet your tour manager and the rest of the group

Day 2: Stockholm to Helsinki
Today, explore more of Stockholm on a private guided tour which takes you past all of the city’s highlights. You’ll also enjoy a walking tour of the Old Town and a visit to the City Hall. At the end of the tour, there is some free time before a coach brings you to the ferry terminal. Here you’ll board the Tallink Sijla ferry to Helsinki. Enjoy dinner onboard before settling into your cabin.

Day 3: Helsinki
Enjoy breakfast before disembarking in Helsinki. Meet up with a local guide who will take you on a 3-hour tour of the city. Visit the awe-inspiring Temppeliaukio Church and the Sibelius monument, as well as other highlights of the city. After the tour, check into the hotel before having the rest of the day at leisure

Day 4: Rovaniemi
This morning, take the train from Helsinki to Rovaniemi. On arrival, transfer from the railway station to the hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend as your wish.

Day 5: Saariselkä
Spend the morning exploring the Santa Claus Village before travelling north. Stop in Sodankylä where you can admire the church, one of Finland’s oldest wooden churches. Enjoy some free time for lunch before continuing to Saariselkä. Check into your very own Midnight Sun Cabin where you can enjoy a 360° view of the summer sky

Day 6: Hike with Huskies
Relax this morning and enjoy an included lunch before heading out for an action-packed afternoon. Meet a group of Siberian huskies before going on a hike, accompanied by one of the dogs. Learn about arctic wildlife and flora from a guide. Head back to the hotel for dinner before enjoying an exciting Midnight Sun Photography Expedition. Visit Lake Inari for a photo stop before continuing to a wilderness camp for a hot drink and a traditional Lapland midnight snack.

Day 7: Sámi Culture
After breakfast, continue your journey through Lapland. Head north to Inari, where you’ll visit the SIIDA museum, where a guide will take you round the open-air exhibition. Have lunch at a restaurant before traveling over the border to Norway, arriving in Kirkenes.

Day 8: The Voyage begins
Visit the unique Snowhotel this morning, enjoying a guided tour and a welcome drink. From here, you’ll transfer to the pier where you’ll board the cruise ship.

Day 9: Hammerfest
After a few brief port calls in the morning, the ship arrives in Hammerfest where you can spend time visiting the Meridian Column, the Polar Bear Society, and the viewpoint on Mount Salen. Continue south along the coast to Øksfjord and Skjervøy. Carry on to Tromsø, where you’ll dock just before midnight. Thanks to the midnight sun, you’ll get to take a stroll around the city which is still busy.

Day 10: Svolvær
Explore the Lofoten and Vesterålen archipelagos today sailing to Harstad, where you can join an optional excursion. Staying on the ship means you’ll get to experience the passage through the Risøyrenna, a channel built in the 1920s for Hurtigruten. Enjoy the natural beauty of the islands as you continue to Stokmarknes, where the Hurtigruten Coastal Express began. Sail into the Raftsund to Trollfjord where you may get the chance to sail between the narrow cliffs. The final stop of the day is in Svolvær, where you can join an excursion.

Day 11: Leaving the Arctic
Cross over the Arctic Circle, saying goodbye to the Midnight Sun. Keep an eye out for the strange mountain Torghatten and the Seven Sisters Mountains as you sail today. Make brief stop at Nesna and Sandnessjøen before arriving in today’s main port of call, Brønnøysund.

Day 12: Trondheim & Kristiansund
This morning, explore the historic royal city of Trondheim independently. You’ll then sail to Kristiansund where you can join a number of excursions, including a drive down the Atlantic Road to a visit to the intriguing Bergtatt marble mine. Sail across the open sea to Molde, the ‘City of Roses’.

Day 13: Bergen
Sail past Nordfjord to dock at Florø, Norway’s westernmost community, enjoying time to take in the harbour before sailing along the Hjeltefjord to Bergen. Disembark the ship and board a private bus for a tour of the city, including a walking tour of some of the highlights. Arrive at the hotel and check in before having the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 14: Bergen
You have the whole of the day to carry on exploring Bergen at your own pace. Visit the museums and galleries, relax in a café or perhaps take the funicular up to the top of Mount Fløyen. Regroup in the evening to enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 15: Bergen
After breakfast, your tour comes to an end.
