Explore Oslo and Norway’s coast on this 10 day journey. Starting in Oslo, you’ll enjoy an extensive city today before flying to Kirkenes to board the Hurtigruten Coastal Express. Sailing south, you’ll visit some of the country’s UNESCO world heritage sites including the Meridian Column in Hammerfest and the Bryggen area of Bergen. Along the way, enjoy views of the stunning mountains and fjords from the coast.

Day 1: Welcome to Oslo
Fly to Norway, arriving in the capital, Oslo. On arrival, make your way to your hotel. Any time before dinner is free to spend as you wish. Head back to hotel to meet your tour manager and enjoy a welcome dinner

Day 2: Oslo
After breakfast, take a 4 hour tour of the city from the comfort of a private coach. You’ll see the Opera House, Holmenkollen ski museum and jump. From here, you can the views out over Oslo øand the nearby fjord. Visit Vigeland Sculpture Park before having the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Flight to the North
This morning, head to the airport for a flight to Kirkenes, travelling the full length of Norway’s mainland. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 4: King Crabs and your cruise
Start the day with King Crab Safari, joining local fishermen as they bring in the daily catch. Enjoy some of your haul at a local restaurant. After, transfer to the port to board your Hurtigruten ship. The rest of the day is yours to settle into your cabin.

Day 5: Hammerfest
The ship makes it way around the Northern Cape today. Stop off at Hammerfest, where you can see the Meridian Column or head to Mount Salen for brilliant view. Back on board, head to Tromso. You’ll arrive just before midnight but there’s plenty to see thanks to the midnight sun.

Day 6: Awe Inspiring Archipelagos
Sail to the beautiful Lofoten and Vesteralen Archipelagos today. Your first port of call is in Harstad, home to the northernmost medieval stone church. From here, sail to Stokmarknes, the birthplace of the Coastal Express. Here you can visit Hurtigrutemuseet, where the MS Finnmarken is preserved. Head south along Raftsund, potentially heading into Trollfjord before stopping in Svolvær briefly before heading past Stamsund.

Day 7: Legends of the Arctic Circle
Just after breakfast, mark the ship crossing the Arctic Circle with a ceremony on deck. Sail past the magnificent Seven Sisters mountain range before stopping off in Brønnøysund to see the marina and Neo-Gothic church. Back on board, enjoy views of Torghatten.

Day 8: Coastal Communities, cathedrals & klippfisk
Start the day in Trondheim. Here you can visit Nidaros Cathedral or head up to Kristiansten Fort for brilliant views of the city. Later in the day, dock in Kristiansund. Here you can try traditional salted cod known as klippfisk or head up to Varden viewpoint to enjoy views of the three islands that make up the city. The final stop of the day is Molde, famous for its skyline of 222 peaks. You can reach the city by ship or take an optional excursion along The Atlantic Road.

Day 9: Beautiful Bergen
If you’re awake early today, you might get the chance to see Nordfjord leading to Europe’s largest glacier, Jostedal. The ship stops at Florø before continuing south across the mouth of Sognefjord and through the islands of Hjeltefjord to reach Bergen. Disembark the ship and take a private tour of the city including a visit to the Bryggen district and the fish market. Then, check into your hotel.

Day 10: Goodbye Bergen
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home
