Embark on an escorted tour that takes you from Oslo to Helsinki. Sail on Hurtigruten’s North Cape Line to Tromso, before heading inland to Lapland to enjoy a range of arctic activities as well as stays in unique Glass Igloos and Villas. Finally, finish with two days in Hesinki.
Day 1: Discovering Norway’s Capital
Arrive in Oslo independently. Head to the port to board your cruise ship and settle into your cabin
Day 2: Settle in at sea
Spend the day relaxing onboard the ship, where you can take in the views from the observation deck or learn more about the coast through a lecture or presentation given by the team.
Day 3: Fjord Views & City Culture
Wave to views of Lysefjord, home to Preikestolen, which towers over the fjord. Spend the rest of the day at Stavanger, where you can discover architectural relics and Norway’s oldest cathedral.
Day 4: Picturesque Ålesund
After breakfast, the ship docks in Ålesund, a town surrounded by mountains and full of bright Art Nouveau buildings. While here, you might wish to head to the nearby Mount Aksla viewpoint for brilliant views or visit the Atlantic Sea Park, the country’s first marine science centre.
Day 5: An ancient fishing town
Spend the morning in Rorvik in the Vikna archipelago before sailing north through the islands and reefs that make up the archipelago. The ship will cross the Arctic Circle during the night.
Day 6: Lofoten Islands
Dock in Svolvaer this morning, the biggest town in the Lofoten Islands. While here, you can enjoy a number of optional excursions including winter fishing and kayaking. Today, you’ll also explore the town of Stokmarknes where the Original Coastal Express was founded in 1893.
Day 7: Gateway to the Arctic
Arrive in the Arctic Capital of Tromso today, where you’ll disembark your ship. You’ll meet you tour manager before setting off by coach through the Lyngen Alps before crossing into Finland to reach the village of Kilpisjärvi
Day 8: Three Countries in under a minute
After breakfast, venture out on a winter safari aboard a snow sleigh or snowmobile. Head to Koltavuoma, where a border cairn marks the board between Finland, Sweden and Norway. The tour includes expert guiding, warm outfits, professional photos and a drink and snack at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure before dinner and a Northern Lights excursion.
Day 9: The Northern Lights Village
This morning, journey southeast to the resort of Levi. Here you’ll enjoy two nights in a private Glass Igloo. On arrival, enjoy dinner before embarking on a heated snowmobile sleigh safari in search of the Aurora.
Day 10: Husky Safari
Today, you’ll take a 5km husky sled ride through pristine forests. The rest of the day is free to spend as you wish, with optional activities on offer. End your day with dinner at the hotel.
Day 11: Icebreaker Adventure
Head to Kemi this morning, with a brief stop at Rovaniemi. Arrive at the resort and check into the Glass Villas, before heading to Ajos Pier where you’ll board an icebreaker ship for a short trip out through the ice. Return to the resort later.
Days 12-13: Helsinki
Travel by train to Helsinki where you’ll enjoy a two-hour city tour to see its key landmarks. In the evening, enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel.
Day 14: The Adventure Ends
After breakfast, the tour comes to and end
