Experience the best of Norway on The North Cape Line, starting at Europe’s northernmost point via Honningsvåg. Visit the Sorrisniva Ice Hotel in Alta, explore WWII history in Narvik, and admire the stunning Romsdal Valley. In Bergen, immerse yourself in the vibrant wharf district and fish market. The southbound journey spans northern, western, and southern Norway, spending the first half in the Arctic Circle—offering four and a half days of prime aurora borealis viewing.

Day 1: Tromsø
Arrive in Tromsø, and board your ship ready for departure in the evening
Day 2: Honningsvåg
Having arrived early in the morning, you can enjoy full day in Honningsvåg, the northernmost point of mainland Norway. Take an optional excursion, perhaps trying ice fishing or head to the North Cape where you can look out over the Barents Sea. After leaving Honningsvåg, the ship turns to head south.
Day 3: Alta
Alta sits far above the Arctic Circle and is well-known for good visibility of the Northerns Light. While here, you may wish to visit the Northern Lights Cathedral, join some authentic excursions such as dogsledding or see the world’s northernmost ice hotel.
Day 4: Narvik
Today, explore the town of Narvik, learning about its World War II heritage at the War Museum or perhaps heading up to Narvikfjellet on the cable car.
Day 5: Inner Coastal Route
Enjoy a day of sailing as you head along the coast. It’s the perfect time to keep an eye out for wildlife, including Sea Eagles.
Day 6: Åndalsnes
Your port of call today is Åndalsnes, one of Norway’s go to destination for outdoor sports. Explore the coastal town itself or take the Romsdal Gondola to the top of Nesaksla Mountain for brilliant views of Romsdalshorn, the town and the river Rauma.
Day 7: Bergen
Arrive into the historical city of Bergen, where you can stroll through the colourful Bryggen district or take the well-known Fløibanen funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen.
Day 8: Kristiansand
Spend the last afternoon of your voyage in the city of Kristiansand where you can join an expedition to learn about its mission to become Europe’s most sustainable port. Or visit Batterie Vara, which features the second largest cannon ever to be mounted on land. Back on the ship, enjoy a farewell dinner.
Day 9: Oslo
Arrive back in Oslo where you’ll disembark the ship, ready for your onwards journey.
