Day 1: Bergen
Begin your voyage in the beautiful city of Bergen on Norway’s western coast. After arriving in the city, and depending on your arrival time, some exploring, head to the guest lounge where you can relax and speak to staff about the optional excursions that are still available.
Day 2: Åndalsnes
Travel along the Isfjord to the alpine town of Åndalsnes. Here you can take part in a number of excursions to enjoy the outdoors. Hike to the Rampestreken viewpoint or travel up the winding Trollstigen Pass to take in the brilliant views of the fjord and the Romsdal Alps.
Day 3: Træna
Head further along the coast to Træna, an archipelago at the edge of the Arctic Circle. Spend the afternoon in one of Norway’s oldest fishing communities with plenty of optional excursions available to explore the area on. The ship sails across the Arctic Circle this evening, commemorated with a little ceremony.
Day 4: Reine
Today is spent exploring the charming Lofoten Islands, known for their picturesque landscapes and steep mountains. You’ll get the chance to visit Å, a well-preserved traditional fishing village which is home to the Norwegian Fishing Village Museum.
Day 5: Tromsø
Arrive in the Arctic capital of Tromsø today. Take your pick from a number of optional excursions to learn about the history of the city, famous as a starting point for historical Arctic expeditions. Alternatively, visit the striking Arctic Cathedral or ride the cable car up Storsteinen Mountain.
Day 6: Honningsvåg & the North Cape
Reach mainland Europe’s northernmost point today as you dock at Honningsvåg. From the city, you can join an excursion to the North Cape itself. Later in the day, the ship departs and sails into the Barents Sea.
Day 7: At Sea & Bjørnøya
Spend the last day of your voyage at sea, crossing the Barents Sea. In the afternoon, you’ll catch sight of Bjørnøya, the southernmost island of the Svalbard Archipelago. The island is home to many species of bird that nest in the cliffs, so this is the perfect time for some birdwatching.
Day 8: Svalbard
Arrive at Spitsbergen, Svalbard’s largest island. Here you’ll find Longyearbyen, the largest settlement, nestled in the Isfjord. Disembark the ship.
