Day 1: UK – In flight
You’ll be picked up from your home by Titan’s shared chauffeur service, which will take you to the airport for your flight to Lima
Day 2: Lima
Upon arrival in Lima, you’ll transfer to the hotel.

Day 3: Callao, Palomino Islands & Lima
This morning, take a boat to the nearby Palomino Islands, part of the Peru’s National Marine Life Reserve. Here you’ll have chance to swim with the sea lions or do some wildlife spotting. After, head back to the mainland for a tour of Callo before returning to Lima. On arrival in Lima, take a guided tour of the city’s highlights including the Cathedral and City Hall.

Day 4: Lima – Amazon Rainforest
This morning, take a short flight to Puerto Maldonado. On arrival, take a boat to reach the eco-lodge in the private rainforest reserve. Later, join a guided walk along the trails for an introduction to the jungle’s ecosystem. In the evening, you’ll head out on the river to see how the forest changes in the darkness

Day 5: Amazon Rainforest
Head to Tambopata National reserve to enjoy a morning on Lake Sandoval. Take to the lake in wooden canoes to search for the wildlife here, including giant river otters and red-bellied macaws. The afternoon sees you walking through the forest canopy on the Anaconda Trail, which connects eight observation points that offer you the chance to spot toucans, monkeys, sloths and more.

Day 6: Amazon Rainforest
Travel by river to the Gamitana ravine, home to piranhas, caimans and turtles. On the way back, stop at a sustainable farm to learn about agriculture in the Amazon basin. The afternoon takes you to Hacienda Concepcion, where you’ll learn about the uses of medicinal plants found in this part of the world. In the evening, take another evening walk to admire the nocturnal side of the forest.

Day 7: Cuzco – Sacred Valley
Take a short flight to the city of Cuzco, from where you’ll transfer to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 8: Sacred Valley
Explore the beautiful Ensifera Camp, a sanctuary for hummingbirds in the Mantanay Private Conservation Area. After some time here accompanied by a naturalist guide, travel to Urubamba where you’ll see the main square with its beautiful colonial church. Head back to the hotel where the rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 9: Machu Picchu
Today’s highlight is the magnificent Machu Picchu. You’ll have two options for reaching the ruins, either hiking a section of the Inca Trail or taking the train. If you choose to hike, it’s 6-7 hours of walking, with a stop in Winaywayna. After a short orientation, you’ll head back to the hotel for the day, as you’ll be exploring Machu Picchu the next morning. If you take the train, you’ll travel by train to Aguas Calientes station, before taking a bus the rest of the way. On arrival, spend some time touring the ruins, learning more about the Incas. After lunch in a local restaurant, you’ll make your way to the hotel.

Day 10: Cuzco
If you hiked the Inca Trail yesterday, you’ll return to Machu Picchu to spend time exploring. The whole group will then board a train to Ollantaytambo where you’ll have lunch and visit a museum to observe traditional weaving and dying techniques. Then, continue to Cuzco, stopping at Pisac to see its market.

Day 11: Cuzco
This morning, take a guided walking tour of Cuzco. You’ll visit the convent of Santo Domingo which was built on the site of an Incan temple devotes to the Sun God. You’ll also see the Compania de Jesus church and the Cathedral. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure.

Day 12: Huacarpay Lake – Sacred Garden – Cuzco
Enjoy a day of birdwatching in the Andean wetlands, making an early start to reach Huacarpay Lake, a collection of lagoons, swamps and rivers. Here you can keep an eye out for peregrine falcons and Andean coots, as well as endemic species such as bearded mountaineers. Make a brief stop at Rumicolca before heading to the Sacred Garden Sanctuary to see its array of hummingbirds. Return to Cuzco, stopping at a textile centre on the way.

Day 13: Lima – Paracas
Fly back to Lima. From here, make your way to the beachside of Paracas

Day 14: Ballestas Islands & Paracas National Reserve
Get up early for a journey across the bay of Paracas to the Ballestas Islands. Here you’ll find pelicans, penguins, buzzards and sea lions which you can watch from the boat. Back on dry land, explore part of the Paracas National Reserve, including the famous La Catedral rock formation and Roja beach. The afternoon is at leisure. There is an optional excursion that takes you over the Nazca Lines by helicopter.

Day 15: Lima
Make you way back to Lima today, spending the afternoon at the Larco Museum, housed in an 18th Century mansion. Here you can admire the collections of jewellery from more than 3,000 years of Peru’s pre-Columbian history.

Day 16: Flight back to UK
Transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK
