From the heart of the Incan Empire in Peru, across the surreal landscapes of Bolivia’s Salar de Uyuni, and into the stark, awe-inspiring beauty of Chile’s Atacama Desert, this journey offers breathtaking moments at every turn.
Day 1: Fly to Lima
Fly to Peru’s capital, Lima. On arrival, transfer to your hotel, with some free time to relax before dinner.

Day 2: Explore Lima
Spend the day exploring Lima, starting at the Huaca Pacllana, an ancient pyramid before strolling through the city centre to see the colonial architecture.

Day 3: Into the Sacred Valley
Transfer to the airport for a flight to Cusco. Once there, head to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Explore the surrounding area, visiting a charming town where you’ll meet some locals.

Day 4: Train to Machu Picchu
Begin your day in Moray, walking amongst the circular terraces. After, visit Maras to see the thousands of salt ponds. In Ollantaytambo, explore the ruins and the functioning water systems before continuing to Aguas Calientes

Day 5: Discover Machu Picchu
Ascend from the valley floor to the ruins of Machu Picchu, with plenty of time to explore before taking the Vistadome train back to Poroy, from where you’ll travel to Cusco.

Day 6: Explore Cusco
Wander the Plaza de Armas and visit the Convent of Santo Domingo. Then, visit the ruins of Sacsayhuaman, where you’ll experience a traditional Quechua ritual led by a Shaman.

Day 7: Train to Titicaca
Hop aboard a train to travel over the Peruvian highlands to Lake Titicaca, enjoying a gourmet lunch as well as music and dance performances.

Day 8: Across Lake Titicaca
Board a hydrofoil to cross the lake into Bolivia. As you cross the lake, you’ll get the chance to explore Isla del Sol and Isla de la Luna. Disembark the ferry and travel to Huatajata, where you’ll meet some alpacas and llamas. In the evening, visit an observatory where you’ll spend a night viewing the constellations.

Day 9: Travel to Paz
Cross the Andes to reach La Paz. A half-day city tour takes you to its highlights, including Moon Valley, plus a teleferico (cable car) ride up to a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the city.

Day 10: The Salar de Uyuni
Fly to Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia’s salt flats. Enjoy a picnic lunch while admiring the surreal landscapes. This evening, sleep in a salt hotel.

Day 11: Meet the Mummies
Spend today exploring more of the salt flats where, depending on conditions, you’ll meet the Conquesa mummies, remains preserved in a cave near the Tunupa Volcano.

Day 12: Into the Atacama
Cross into Chile, travelling to the desert outpost of San Pedro de Atacama

Day 13: Discover the Moon Valley
Visit the charming village of Toconao, then, as the sun sets, drive into the Moon Valley to watch the cliffs change colour in the fading light.

Day 14: Venture to El Tatio
Awake early to reach the El Tatio geysers, set in a ring of volcanoes. Relax in the afternoon before setting out under the stars for some stargazing.

Day 15: Travel to Santiago
Transfer to Calama and fly to Santiago, Chile’s capital. Later, tour the city, stopping to see the impressive cathedral. Head to the top of Cerro hill for views out over the city.

Day 16: Discover Valparaiso
Take a daytrip to the port of Valparaiso, set along the seafront and the mountains. Wander through the colourful streets, enjoying lunch and tastings from nearby vineyards.

Days 17-18
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, arriving the next day.

Journey to Puno on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Along the way, enjoy the scenic Peruvian landscape and enjoy a gourmet lunch.
